Q) Will there continue to be strains between the band and Brandon going on tour?

A) Yeah, I think it’s been the band’s dream to come on tour. It’s kind of a rough situation now with Lou dating Brandon (David Lambert) because she obviously doesn’t want to leave him behind. She really, really wants to go on tour and he really wants to go with them. That’s kind of the story of the season, trying to figure out if we are going to go on tour with Brandon or not.

Q) How will Brandon’s ongoing feelings for Callie continue to cause tension for him and Lou?

A) There hasn’t really been that much tension between Brandon and Lou in regards to Callie. I think he is trying his best to move on and I think he is pretty happy with Lou. It’s been kind of fun to play because the last part of the season Lou was kind of defensive and she wasn’t really into him for a long time. It’s been kind of fun to play the opposite of that this season and in a relationship.

Q) Brandon and Lou seem to have more in common.

A) They do have more in common with each other and I think he brings out a side of Lou that is a little bit softer as well, which has been really cool.

Q) Will we be getting to meet any of Lou’s family this season or learning more about her background?

A) We won’t be meeting any of Lou’s family. The guy, Mat, in the band is technically my cousin. I think he is the only family that you have met of Lou’s. I don’t know. Maybe eventually we’ll meet her family. I’m hoping we will dive a little bit more into her background.

Q) Was there anything you added to Lou that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) I don’t think so. This character is so polar opposite to who I am in real life. I don’t think there is anything that I brought from Ashley’s world that would make sense in Lou’s world. The writers over there are so brilliant that I kind of just trust it and go with the flow. It’s been fantastic!

Q) Is there anyone from the cast that you haven’t had that many scenes with that you would like to share more screen time with?

A) I rarely have scenes with Maia [Mitchell], who I love. I’m hoping for maybe more scenes with her. I don’t have any scenes with Teri [Polo], Hayden [Byerly] or Sherri [Saum]. David, Cierra [Ramirez] and the band are who I have most of my scenes with. So, hopefully, eventually I’ll be able to work with more of the family. Maybe the family will come see a performance some day!

Q) What have been your favorite scenes to film?

A) One of my favorites recently aired where Brandon and Lou are talking about going on tour and she explains why she has to go without him. Last week there was a scene where I get into an argument with Brandon and it was quite interesting to play.

Q) You are a part of social media. What is it like for you getting that instant fan feedback from fans?

A) I love live tweeting with everybody! It’s so fun to see their reactions, not just for the band parts of the episode, but all of the storylines! It’s really cool to see everyone’s reactions right away when we are live tweeting.

Q) There is a great following dubbed “Fosters Fam!”

A) Yeah and I feel like I know them all! I feel like they are friends of mine. It’s really fun and I know them by name!

Q) The band performs their own music, but if you had a chance, what would you like to sing on “The Fosters?”

A) I would love to perform one of my original songs on the show. That would be incredible! The guy who does the music for the show, Brad Hooks, actually produced my first single “Limitless.” Maybe it will happen eventually! As for something from the radio, there is a song I love called “Yours” by Ella Henderson. I think that would be really interesting. It’s a ballad. I think just a piano and Ella Henderson singing. I think it would be really interesting to see Brandon and Lou doing something like that with Brandon playing the piano and Lou singing.

Q) Lou and Brandon have such great chemistry so it’s great to see the scenes with just the two of them together.

A) I think our relationship has really grown into something. In the beginning, she just didn’t want to have anything to do with him and then now it is really cool to see a softer and a kind of nicer side to Lou.

Q) You are an actor and a musician. Is there anything else you would like to try your hand at?

A) I’m also now producing a webseries so I’m also now a producer! I would also love to direct. I think that is next on the list of goals. I’ve always loved video editing. I’d love to do more of that. I do a lot of video editing for my YouTube channel. I do an end of the year video every year and that is always a joy. I basically put together clips of everything I’ve done for the past year and I set it to a song from that year or my favorite song at that moment. I’ve always wanted to get more video editing done and directing. Hopefully, that will come this year, too.

Q) Where do your musical influences stem from?

A) My mom has played music since I was a baby, that’s how she would put me to sleep. So, I’ve always been surrounded by music. It was always Celine Dion. She was my idol growing up. Kelly Clarkson is my favorite singer, Adele and Katy Perry. I listen to a lot of different types of music.

Q) Is anything else you would like to share about what is to come on “The Fosters?”

A) I can tell you that there is another song by Someone’s Little Sister that I am so excited for everyone to hear. David actually sings lead on it and he is incredible. You guys will hear more of “Crossfire.” Everyone has been asking about that. I don’t know if the songs will be released. They released an EP of our songs last season so hopefully they will do it again this season. As for Lou, I think you are just going to see her relationship with Brandon grow and evolve.
