Addison Riecke – The Thundermans

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I’m only working on “The Thundermans” right now. We have a lot more fun episodes to do though at the end of the summer.

Q) How are you similar to your character Nora?

A) We both share the same wardrobe. We both love to wear bows and we both love to wear cute little dresses with cardigans. We’re also very personable and a lot of fun.

Q) What do you like most about your character?

A) I like how she is dry and sarcastic because I’m not that way. It’s a lot of fun to play that because I have never played that before. It’s a lot of fun to get into Nora since she is so dry, sarcastic and funny, but charming and sweet at the same time.

Q) Have you added anything to the role that may not have been originally scripted for you?

A) The bow wasn’t originally scripted, but in the audition I came in wearing one and they liked it a lot. The writers and producers liked it a lot so there are a lot of jokes for the bow now. If I were to wear a helmet or a hat, it would always have a bow on it. So, I think the bow has definitely made it’s way into the show.

Q) We know Nora is able to easily recruit Billy into her schemes. What has been your favorite scheme?

A) Our favorite scheme that we really got into was in an episode called “Ditch Day.” When Phoebe (Kira Kosarin) and Max (Jack Griffo) broke into school to erase a tape that showed them using their super powers and Billy (Diego Velazquez) and Nora got to sneak into that, too. It was a lot of fun!

Q) Can you tease about any upcoming guest stars we’ll get to see on “The Thundermans?”

A) There are a lot of fun guest stars coming up and some of them I can’t really share. But you’ll definitely see a lot more fun, new guest stars that a lot of people are familiar with and it will be really funny. It was really fun working with Harvey (Guillen) who plays Cousin Blobbin. A lot of the other guest stars were fun and the characters were fun, too.

Q) Who did you most like as a guest star on the show?

A) We had a dog come on once to play a character and there were some cats that came on. I am a big animal lover so it was a lot of fun to work with the animals.

Q) Was the cast chemistry instant or did it take some time for you all to bond?

A) It really just came naturally. Almost all of us are only children so it was a lot of fun to kind of be a family together. We get to see each other and do fun stuff together, even when we’re not on set. We go to swim parties together and amusement parks. We just became best friends and it didn’t take that long at all.

Q) What have you found challenging about playing Nora?

A) It was never really that hard, but it was definitely fun and challenging because I’m not that much like her. So, it was a lot of fun to get into her and I think over the episodes we’ve become more like our characters and able to get into them easier.

Q) What do you think it is about “The Thundermans” that makes it a great fit for Nickelodeon?

A) I think superheroes are a great fit into the Nickelodeon family and also sibling rivalry I think is really cool for Nickelodeon.

Q) Is there anything else about this season or the show that you would like to share with fans?

A) The upcoming episodes are a lot of fun and there are a lot of cool schemes that the kids of “The Thundersmans” get into. It’s definitely going to be a great Season 2!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I think my fans have been a big support to me. They are really awesome. The fan name for my fans are the Addicats and they have always been really supportive of me. I thank them a lot!
