Q) How did the role of “Sadie” come to you?

A) This is actually a super fun story. I auditioned for “Chicken Girls” with a last-minute self-tape because I had just landed in Spain. It was honestly not my best self-tape at all, but I just submitted it and hoped for the best and moved on. About a week later, I got a call saying I booked the role (I was actually in London on Thanksgiving eating dinner when I got the call). I cannot even begin to express my level of excitement when I found out I booked the role. Just about four days later, I flew to LA to start shooting, and the rest is history.

Q) What do you like most about playing Sadie?

A) Sadie is TK (Hayden Summerall’s) girlfriend in the show and she is actually a mean girl. I think my favorite thing about getting to play her is that I get to become a completely different person and act as a completely different person than how I am in real life. It’s definitely a challenge, but when the director yells “action” I literally turn into a different person lol.

Q) What did you know about Chicken Girls before joining the cast?

A) I knew a lot about “Chicken Girls” and was definitely a fan. Brat and the creators of “Chicken Girls” created such a dynamic and interesting hit show with so many different individuals and talent of different scopes.

Q) What was the reaction from fans after you joined the cast?

A) It has been so cool to see how the fans are reacting to my character, Sadie. Overall, the responses have been amazing. Most of the fans do not love the character Sadie because she has a bit of a mean streak; however, they love the excitement and twist she brings to the show. They enjoy her storyline and are excited to see more of Sadie in the future. It has also been so humbling to see all the fans posting edits and comments saying how much they love me, Amelie, in real life. I am glad that people have been able to see my real personality versus my character’s personality.

Q) “Chicken Girls” was in its 6th season when you joined the cast. How easy was it to show that chemistry with your castmates on screen?

A) My first day on set was definitely one to remember. Of course, I was nervous, but I like to say nerv-cited (nervous and excited). I didn’t know anyone yet, but the moment I walked through the door, everyone from the cast and the entire crew were very welcoming, warm and inviting. We all became friends very quickly. The chemistry actually came quickly and pretty naturally, which was really nice. [smiles]

Q) This role gives you a chance to act and dance in a different setting! What was your favorite moment on the show?

A) I love all of the scenes we did and filmed, but if I had to choose just one I would definitely say the flag football scene because we had a blast filming that scene and it was so genuine and fun. We were all just messing around actually laughing and they caught it on camera, which is so awesome because it is such a real scene.

Q) What roles or opportunities do you hope being on “Chicken Girls” will bring forth for you?

A) I am truly so grateful to be a part of such a fantastic show with such talented individuals. I am also so grateful for the other opportunities and doors being in “Chicken Girls” has opened; it really helped change my life and I can’t wait for everyone else to see what new amazing projects I am working on now. [smiles]

Q) You are still very young. What advice would you give to other up and coming actors/actresses?

A) This is a great question. I truly think one of my favorite things about being in the business is the fact that I can help inspire others. I think that the biggest advice I could give to anyone getting started is COMMIT. Commit to your goals and accomplish them. Don’t just wish, instead make them happen and always, always, “Be Original.”

Q) You are a part of Dance Crew. Is there anything new coming from that area?

A) Yes, I have so many new amazing videos and super cool projects coming soon with my dance mentorship IAF in LA. IAF is a dance studio filled with some of the most talented and creative dancers/forces and I am so grateful to be a part of their mentorship. Stay tuned for some super fun concept videos, etc. Woohoo!

Q) Who would you most like to work with on-screen or as a dancer in the future?

A) Wow, I love this question because so many exceptional individuals in the business inspire me beyond; it’s so hard to choose just one person to work with. However, it would be such an honor to work alongside Reese Witherspoon or Leonardo DiCaprio, etc. They are not only insanely talented, but they are also such inspiring people and I would love to learn from them.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I love social media because it is such a fantastic way to share your passion and thoughts with the world!! The most rewarding part of it is waking up and seeing my DMS/comments that say I have impacted someone’s life. Seeing that I can help people be happy or find themselves without even fully knowing them is something I cherish every day. I want to use my platform to do just that, make people happy and let them know that I support them just as much as they support me.

Q) What would you like to say to fans of you and your work?

A) I would love to tell my fans that I am so, so, so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you; you don’t even understand. I love you all endlessly and support you all just as much as you support me. Don’t forget to always be original and remember you were born with a purpose and you will figure out what that purpose is. Keep pushing. [smiles]
