Q) What do you feel was your most rewarding moment on “Survivor?”

A) Making it to 100 days of playing “Survivor” was definitely rewarding. I’m only the 7th person of over 500 contestants to ever accomplish that!

Q) How did you ultimately decide to audition for “Survivor?”

A) My family is obsessed with Survivor and my mom and dad had both previously applied. So, naturally they encouraged me to apply and I just took a chance! I grew up on a big farm in Wisconsin and did a lot of camping and sports growing up so “Survivor” seemed like a show I could do really well on.

Q) On “Survivor” there are bound to be regrets in decisions made at that time. If you could go back to any moment and change it, which would it be and why?

A) I wish I would have pushed to get Sarah [Lacina] out of “Survivor: Game Changers” when I had that gut feeling she was being crafty! But at the time I didn’t realize Sarah was my biggest threat… she was so darn good at playing the game.

Q) Say you made it to the Final Tribal Council. Including yourself, who would be in your dream Final Three and why?

A) I would have wanted to be with a combination of Aubry [Bracco], Tai [Trang] and Michaela [Bradshaw]. I didn’t know if I could beat Aubry, but she was my closest ally. I think I would have won in a final three of me, Michaela and Tai.

Q) You have played three seasons of “Survivor” already. If you could create a list of your top three seasons of “Survivor “to watch (whether you were on it or not), which ones would you pick?

A) The funny thing is… my three seasons aren’t exactly highly regarded in the “Survivor” world! I enjoyed playing them, of course, but they usually aren’t your go-to choices to watch. I would recommend watching “Survivor” Cagayan, Heroes vs Villains and Second Chances. Those three were great!

Q)) Currently being the host of People Now, who has been your favorite interview to date?

A) Oh, there have been so many amazing interviews, but I especially loved interviewing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It was so lovely learning that he really is a sweetheart in real life. He often tweets me back, too!

Q) With your BFA in acting, I notice that you have done extensive work as an on-air personality. What inspired you to pursue more hosting work?

A) I landed a few hosting gigs after I moved to NYC and for a while was doing both the acting and hosting thing simultaneously. Then, one day I had a revelation where I realized that not only do I enjoy hosting more…I am better at it! That’s when I decided to put more of my efforts into hosting instead of it being a 50/50 thing.

Q) With having a few acting credits under your belt, describe your ultimate dream role.

A) My ultimate dream role would be something fierce, where I got to do a lot of my own stunts. I would love to be a superhero or some warrior in a movie. Plus, I’m pretty athletic so it would be sweet learning all of the action moves.

Q) What is the greatest lesson you have taken with you from playing the game of “Survivor?”

A) I have learned that I’m much stronger than I take credit for. I’ve been through some traumatic things in my life and overcame them to be the person I am today. On “Survivor” I was able to channel a lot of that strength to really push myself in the challenges. Any time I’m facing a difficult situation now, I look back at my time on the show and realize that if I can starve on an island with a bunch of crazy strangers, I can do more than I think!

Q) On a handful of seasons there has been the “all-female alliance” with Micronesia: Fans v. Favorites being the most successful. Why do you think that women pursue to achieve that type of alliance?

A) I was all about working with the women this last season! I think there is a push to get us ladies to stick together, because if you team up with strong women who are able to really bond on an emotional level, it feels like you can accomplish a lot. I also think it’s just badass to team up with women. I would love to be done with the days where people say women can’t work together.

Q) In three seasons, what do you feel is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness in “Survivor?”

A) My biggest strength is my overall physical and social ability. I’m always able to find myself in a solid group with some allies. My biggest weakness is my perception. I don’t usually see the blindsides coming because I’m not correctly seeing how these other people are viewing me.

Q) After being eliminated in Game Changers, you became the “Survivor” player with the most votes cast against you all-time. How does it feel to be bestowed that title and what does that say about you as a player?

A) [laughs] I mean I guess it’s an honor? Clearly people have tried to get me out A LOT and have failed a lot as well. I do think that it speaks to the fact that I am a big threat.

Q) While it’s tough to become a member of the jury, it’s also a great responsibility as they determine the winner of the game. Being a jury member each time you played, what were some of the key factors for you in choosing the winner?

A) I’m a player who will always award who I thought played the best game. I don’t tend to be too bitter because I respect great players.

Q) If given the opportunity to play again, would you go for a fourth time?

A) I’d have to see where I was in my life at that point! I wouldn’t say it was a hard pass at all.

Q) Do you feel that being on “Survivor” helped you career-wise and if so, how do you feel that it did?

A) It definitely helped me career wise. Through “Survivor” I’ve made so many connections that have turned into job opportunities. Being on national TV also puts you on people’s radar, but then it’s up to you to prove you have the talent and drive.

Q)  What advice would you give to those thinking about auditioning for “Survivor?”

A) It’s all about those first moments on the tape. You need to have a clear idea of who you are and what makes you stand out. Go big or go home! For reference, I was doing somersaults off a horse in the middle of Winter in my audition tape.
