Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I recently have been working on the Disney channel show “I Didn’t Do It.” We just wrapped our second season and that has been a blast. All of my time has been taken up with that so I haven’t really worked on anything but that. We are just waiting to hear about a third season. just working with the cast and crew was just an amazing project to work on.

Q) How was your character, Logan Watson, originally described to you?

A) Originally, my character was kind of dorky and kind of out of place at school. He was a little different from how Logan is and once I booked the role and got to know the writers and producers we kind of tweaked the characters a bit and made it our own. I made it my own, I guess in a way. We all kind of fell in love with this new Logan I created.

Q) What have you added to the role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) I think it was just kind of his laid back side. He has his twin sister and she is super go-getter and he is kind of laid back. He lets her do the chores for him. I just think they thought it was really funny and it worked. I guess they liked the laid back style I play and the dry sense of humor.

Q) What kind of bonding did you do with your costar Olivia Holt since you play twins?

A) I had been friends with my costar Olivia for a while. I had worked on her pervious show, “Kickin’ It,” like four years ago so I met her on that. We kind of kept in touch ever since and were friends. We were pretty good friends so once she came into the audition process it was so easy to get the chemistry going. It just felt super natural when we auditioned together. It wasn’t hard or a stretch. It was just really raw.

Q) What have been some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A) There are so many! In the second season, we had a live audience and the first season we did not. I loved the live audience. It was so much fun! They would come in on Tuesday evenings and we put on this live performance for them. They recorded it live there and it was so much fun. I’ll definitely never forget that!

Q) You are also currently working on some music. How did you decide to cover Justin Bieber’s song “Where Are U Now?”

A) I covered that with my sister [Lauren] and our friend Grant[Woell]. We kind of shared our thoughts on what a good song would be. We came across “Where Are U Now” and thought this was super popular. Also, Justin Bieber is amazingly talented so it would be a good song to cover. It’s got a great beat to it with the drums and we just kind of made it our own. We’re really happy with how it turned out and there is more to come!

Q) How did the arrangement for the song come about? Was it something you planned out or just went for?

A) It is somewhat of both. My sister and Grant kind of laid down some piano and vocals. Then, they didn’t really have an idea of what they wanted for the drums so they brought it to me. I have a little studio in my room where I can record drums so they brought it to me and played it for me. I kind of started jamming and doing random beats. We just kind of picked and chose what we liked and put it all together.

Q) Are there  plans in the works already for your next cover?

A) There are plans! Lauren and Grant wrote an original song and we are going to do that. We are going to produce that. It’s got a cool flow to it. It’s a little slower than “Where Are U Now,” but I think it is going to turn out great. I’m excited for fans to see.

Q) What kind of fan reaction have you gotten to your cover of “Where Are U Now?”

A) I’ve gotten some really great feedback. It’s really exciting. It makes me want to get more covers out there since people seem to like it. Obviously, all the girls that follow me love Justin Bieber and see a cover of his song. It’s gotten some great feedback, which I’m excited about it.

Q) Many of your fans might not know that you had this talent for the drums. Are there any other secret talents you have that you can tease?

A) Musically, I’ve always been focused on the drums. I love sports and I love doing athletic stuff. I’m always playing basketball and ping pong. My dad and I played that while I was growing up and I love playing it with him. I love surfing. I don’t know if people knew that about me.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is so great because I can easily interact with my fans on Twitter. If anybody asks if I have a message for the fans, I always say, “Tweet me and I’ll try to reply to everyone.” I’m using this new app called Periscope and I get to quickly and easily live chat with my fans. They can comment and ask me questions. I try to use social media in a bunch of different ways to connect with my fans.

Q) Is there anything else you want to be sure to share with fans about your music or the show?

A) Feel free to tweet me any time and I’ll try to reply. I want to let the fans know how much I love them and I thank them for their support. Keep watching “I Didn’t Do it.” We’re a little bit past halfway done with airing the episodes. There are some great Jogan moments to come – between Jasmine and Logan. So, stay tuned for those! Stay tuned for the next song we’re releasing soon, too.
