Brandon Beemer – Wedding Planner Mystery

By  |

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I was working on a movie called Fear Clinic that comes out October 22nd and it premieres at Scream Fest in Los Angeles. I also have Wedding Planner Mystery that premieres on Hallmark Movie Channel on October 19th. Then, I did another movie called In Extremis that was an independent film that will come out sometime next year.

Q) With your film Wedding Planner Mystery, how was your character Holt originally described to you?

A) Holt was described to me as a smart, educated and ladies man. He’s the guy you always want in your corner. He’s somebody you really don’t want to have against you.

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) It is not so much that I added anything. Our director, Ron Oliver, knew what he wanted Holt to be and I just kind of brought myself to it and brought what I could to it. Ron had the vision and we just came together.

Q) Were you familiar with the series of books the film is based on before taking on the role?

A) No, I had never heard of it before. This was the first time I heard of it. I hear that there is a second one and I am told that my character is in the second one, too. It would be a blast to go back and do a second one to work with Andrew [Walker] and Erica.

Q) What was it like getting to work with Erica Durance on the film?

A) Erica is fantastic. She is such a pleasure to work with. She is a great actress and such a sweet, sweet person. I had never met her before or worked with her before. So, it was definitely a treat. I have a friend that used to work with her on “Smallville,” and he told me how great she was. I was definitely looking forward to working with her when he told me that.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming Wedding Planner Mystery?

A) The most memorable moment I would say was being able to explore Vancouver. I had such a great time there. It was my first time being there and I fell in love with it. I can’t wait to go back. We shot pretty much all of it on the outside of the city and that was fun because I got to explore outside and different parts of Vancouver. The people were great, too. The Canadian film crew was awesome and they were so on it. It was such a pleasure to work with them and they knew exactly what they were doing. It was definitely a great experience.

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you’ll be receiving when the movie premieres?

A) Yes, I think it will be great. Social media is fun to be able to hear what people thought and if they enjoyed it. I hope they do enjoy it. It is fun to see that and to be able to spread the word to tell people to watch it so they don’t miss it. I hope that a lot of people tune in to watch it.

Q) What do you think it is about Wedding Planner Mystery that makes it such a good fit for the Hallmark Movie Channel?

A) It’s a fun, quirky mystery movie. It has some humor in it and some romance. It’s got a little bit for everyone and I think it is a great fit for the Hallmark Movie Channel.

Q) Is that also why you think people will want take their time to see the film?

A) I think the word mystery peaks peoples’ curiosity.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I say thank you. It means more to me than you will ever know. Thank you for continuing on this journey of mine. I hope you enjoy the movie and the film projects that I have coming up.
