Christel Kahlil – New Beginings

By  |

Q.  What are some of the recent projects that you’ve been working on?

A.  None right now.  I am just auditioning pretty much.

Q.  You recently left the role of Lily on the soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”  What made you exit the role that you’ve been playing for a few years now?

A.  Well, it just wasn’t something that I wanted to do in the long run as a career so I decided that I wanted to go out and try other things.

Q.  Was it hard leaving a role that you were so comfortable with?

A.  No, not really.  Because I was ready and it was time, it was something I knew I had to do.

Q.  This marks your second Daytime Emmy nod.  How does it feel being nominated again for this prestigious award?

A.  It feels good, it’s nice to know that I’m doing a good job and it’s just validating what I’m doing.  It is definitely nice to have that.

Q.  You’ve been working on the show “W.I.T.C.H.”  What made you want to be a part of this show?

A.  Well, I auditioned for it and I ended up getting it and I thought it would be fun to do something where it is animated.  Something where you don’t have to get up and get ready in the morning.  You can go over there and pretty much have fun and do what you want.

Q.  Do you prefer working in front of the camera or behind with voiceovers?

A.  Oh yeah, definitely in front of the camera.  Well, it’s just more fun I think just to be able to see you in a way.

Q.  What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A.  Not much, there is not much to do in LA.  So, I just maybe go to the movies and hang out with my friends, hang out with my dog and watch TV and eat.

Q.  Do you have a latest obsession?  Are you into any particular book, sport, music group or activity?

A.  Not really.  Well, I have a lot of bands I like, I like all kinds of music.  I guess movie-wise, I like everything so it’s hard for me to pick.

Q.  Now that it is 2006, what are you most looking forward to this year?

A.  Just new things coming about and the Emmy’s as well, just new projects that are going to be coming out.  Just, new things.

Q.  What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A.  I hope that you still like me and anything that comes out I hope that you go and watch it and that I hope I’m doing a good job.
