Q

Q) What are the current projects that you are working on?

A) At the moment I am working with one of my idols, Jerry Zucker, who did Airplane, Naked Gun and Ghost. We're doing a project called "The Sands of Passion," which is an Algerian soap opera. It's hilarious and very tongue-in-cheek. I also just finished up "The Lost Room," opposite Juliana Margolies and Peter Krause that is doing really well on DVD. Dead Air is a new project I just signed on to that won't start shooting until July. It will be my first horror movie. I just did "Las Vegas" and I am producing my first film that I did myself. It's really exciting and I am trying to get it off the ground.

Q) Please tell us about your character Luis in the filmDelta Farce.

A) He is Carlos Santana's (played by Danny Trejo) right hand man. We get into this confrontation with Larry The Cable Guy and they don't know we are banditos gang bangers. We think it is the US coming to invade our country because of what we are doing. So, one of our main guys gets caught by them. I go back and tell everyone what is going on. It's a fun part!

Q) What made you want to be a part of the movie?

A) It was the fact that it was comedy. I do a lot of serious roles. I do a lot of comedy off stage, but I usually play a lot of serious roles. So, I wanted to break the mold by getting into comedy. This was a farcical comedy, in the vein of Stripes. I wanted to be a part of that and then went into "The Sands of Passion." I am trying to change the mold a bit.

Q) What was it like working with director CB Harding?

A) He's phenomenal! He's hilarious and he's an actor's director so we get to improvise and play around a lot. He's got a great sense of humor!

Q) What was your most memorable moment from filming the movie?

A) I really enjoyed doing the stunts. The explosives were really fun and the dialogue is hilarious. Danny Trejo is funny as hell. There is a wrestling scene that you will love when you see it!

Q) Why should viewers take the time to see Delta Farce?

A) It's purely for entertainment. It's just an escape from what is happening in the real world. It's fun, it's silly, you go, you laugh and have a good time. You don't take yourself too seriously and you come out and enjoy yourself.

Q) Please tell us the premise for your new project "The Sands of Passion?"

A) It's an Algerian soap opera. What Jerry is doing is very tongue-in-cheek. Every stereotype he is breaking on the show so the acting is kind of interesting. We're acting like a soap opera in this middle Eastern country. Every thing that can go wrong, goes wrong. Everything that happens, you are laughing hysterically. You think, "Oh my God, I can't believe he just went there!" He is launching this on the Internet for now. It was started on a website called http://www.nationalbanana.com that Jerry is backing. We'll see what happens when it launches. We all have accents and I play a flaming homosexual hairdresser, which is a big no-no in the Arab countries. Everything bad that can happen, happens. It's really hilarious! It's one of those things where you are laughing, but there is a message behind it. You think, "I can't believe this is really happening!"

Q) "The Lost Room" is also a miniseries you worked on. How was it getting to play opposite Juliana Margolies and Peter Krause?

A) It was great! I loved it. I loved the premise and the story was exhilarating. The part was fun. My character, unfortunately, is a twist in the film where I turn out to be the bad guy that gives them up at the end. Juliana was phenomenal and I had a great time. Peter is always great!

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) I write and teach. I teach part time at a few colleges in my spare time. I really don't have much spare time!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) Thank you for supporting me. I will do my best to stay as true to character and live up to your expectations.
