Q

Q) What are the current projects that you are working on?

A) I am doing "Without a Trace" and I am also writing.

Q) What is new this season with your character Vivian on the hit show "Without A Trace?"

A) Vivian is going to be leading her own task force. She's investigating human trafficking. She's got a whole different team of investigators who are going to explore that. That's her main thing this season.

Q) What is it like working with such an amazing cast?

A) It's great! We have a lot of fun on the set. It's a lively crazy set. There is a lot of joking around. It's very warm and kind of congenial.

Q) Did you expect the show to be such a success at the start?

A) No, I didn't actually. I didn't have anything to measure it by. It was the first show I'd ever done and I didn't understand how it worked. It's been a pleasant being on something that has gone from strength to strength and has been well supported from the beginning.

Q) Where do you draw on for your portrayal?

A) Basically, it is a lot of research with FBI and individuals who are involved in that line of work. We have an FBI expert who helps on a daily basis, giving us authenticity. Mainly, it is from those sources.

Q) Viewers know that the character Sam (played by Poppy Montgomery) is pregnant. Who would you like to see her end up with?

A) Not particularly. I think it is going to be quite an interesting storyline for her with the father. I don't know how much I can say at this point, but it is very realistic. It is not going a wrapped up in a bow type story. I think it is going to be quite an organic portrayal of a single career woman going through pregnancy.

Q) Why do you think people continue tuning into the show?

A) I think it is one of those shows that draws people because of the fact that it is not blood and guts the whole time. There is a psychological element to it and I believe people like to think as much as people don't like to think and just want the escapism. I think they actually do like mystery element to it. I think that's why people find it intriguing.

Q) What makes working for CBS so appealing?

A) It's the show that is appealing and the stories. It is the fact that, on some level, it sort of resonates to real life things. CBS has supported the show and been behind those cases highlighted on the show. They post a different missing person and I think those elements make it a more pleasurable experience knowing that you actually doing something or having some kind of effect, no matter how small.
