QQ) What are the current projects that you are working on?
A) You can currently see me in the Balls of Fury movie that is out right now. I have slated for next year Starship Dave, which is Eddie Murphy's new movie for next summer. I have Rob Schneider's new film Big Stan and I just wrapped another film with him called The Chosen One. That will also be coming out in 2008. Then, there is is a movie called Farm House, which is a horror/thriller film and a gritty drama called Hotel California. Television wise, you will see me in an episode of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" and "Chuck" which is a brand new series for NBC. I did another series for CBS called "Moonlight" and I'll be reoccurring on "Reno 911!" for season five, which comes out this Fall.
Q) Please tell us about your character Ivan on the new show "Chuck."
A) My character Ivan is in one of the episodes where they are trying to take down a boss. You'll see me in this episode as the guy shooting guns at Chuck. I had a lot of fun because I got to shoot snub noses and uzi's. It's part of what I do as an actor. It's not every day that you get to shoot M16's, M60's or uzi's. It's a fun show. It's a comedy and I like doing those. I am very good at comedic work.
Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?
A) I'm an actor and I like to be a part of any show I can.
Q) What about your role did you find challenging?
A) No.
Q) What was your most memorable moment from filming "Chuck?"
A) I would have to say that Zach [Levi], who plays the lead in it, is really such a sincere nice guy. I wish him much success in the future from this show. He's a good guy and I really enjoyed working with him.
Q) What was it like working with McG?
A) I didn't work with him because he's the producer of the show and Josh Schwartz is the creative producer. I have known Josh through a mutual friend. McG wasn't on the set, but Josh Schwartz was.
Q) Why will people want to tune in to see the show?
A) It's funny. There is nothing really like it since it is a spoofy spy comedy. Plus, it is before "Heroes" so it has a great spot. Also, Zach is a very good actor and the pilot is really funny. People will enjoy watching this show. This show is completely different from "Heroes," so to see it back to back is good diversity.
Q) What has been the highlight of your career?
A) It would be being able to say that I have a career. Continuing working from year to year; I just want to be a working actor. I work very hard on both the technical and the business side of being an actor. People are under the impression that when they see you in one or two things that all of a sudden you get handed work left and right. It doesn't work that way in this business. Most successful actors have been working on their craft for numerous years. I've been at this for eight years now and I've been very blessed to be a working actor. I want to continue to be working actor.
Q) What do you do in your spare time?
A) What spare time? I keep my private life very private. I have some dogs that I live with. I am a very big dog advocate so, I participate in a lot of animal charities. I do a lot of charity work on the side because I do like to give back. As my position as an actor, people see me in television and film. I am very flattered when people want to have me come to their charitable events. If I can give back something to somebody, I'm all for it!
Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?
A) Thank you so much for continued support throughout the years. It is truly amazing to see the power of the Internet. I've had people contact me from worldwide like Switzerland, Germany and Australia. Those are places I've never been to before, but they are familiar with some of the films that I've done. For them to contact me, is very flattering!
