Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) "NCIS: Los Angeles" is the big thing for me, right now. It's going to be a really hot show and I'm really excited about it. All the ads have been going up for it all over LA and my friends in New York say it is all over the place. It's exciting to see all the billboards of Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J. It's nice that the network is really behind us. This is the first spinoff of "NCIS," which is such a successful show. The fact they are trusting us to follow that up is exciting.

Q) What is the premise for "NCIS: Los Angeles" and who is your character Eric Beale.

A) We're a division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and we're out of Los Angeles, where the original takes place in Washington, D.C. They deal with more forensics while we deal with surveillance and counter surveillance. There is a whole lot of tech stuff in our world. So, we're constantly talking about GPS and technology. We have a very cool touch screen video thing called a Perspective Pixel Screen. We're using cutting edge technology and that just makes it look like one big computer videogame. So, we're a little less about the autopsy and DNA, but we're more about spying on people and secret cameras. It's really action packed and high stakes fun crimes that we're solving. Eric is the center of all the tech stuff that we're using as the tech operator. So, he's in charge of getting a GPS on a person, figuring out if people are being spied on or setting up cameras. He'll hack into secret cameras. The whole team depends on him for a lot of tech information. The other cool thing about Eric is that he is a surfer. So, he's a surfer, but also kind of a computer nerd. That means, he wears flip-flops, shorts and t-shirts or Hawaiian shirts to the office. Linda Hunt, who plays Hetty Lange, doesn't really like it when Eric dresses down because she's a stickler for clothes.

Q) Where do you draw from for your portrayal of Eric?

A) It's certainly not from my technical expertise and certainly not my surfing expertise because I don't have much of either. It's fun to be able to play someone who is not fully like you. I am on the computer all the time sending emails, but I'm definitely not hacking into government agencies or anything like that. As for surfing, I've not taken any lessons. Peter Cambor, in our cast, is a surfer and he keeps threatening to take me out for a surf lesson. So, we'll have to make that happen.

Q) What has been the most challenging aspect of your role?

A) Really, it's all about spitting out the technical lines. I have a lot of information that I'm relaying to the team so there is a lot of specific technical information. I'm usually briefing them about what is going on or what they are seeing. It's really about memorizing those lines and getting them out. It's a challenge and that's what I like about it, too. The same thing that is challenging is also what I like.

Q) What has been your most memorable moment from filming the show?

A) What really pops into my mind is stuff that happened off set. It's really fun to get to know people, to hang out and going to craft services and trying to eat carrots over chocolate.

Q) Why will people want to take their time to tune in and see "NCIS: Los Angeles?"

A) I think it is super action packed and the stakes are really high. I think it looks really cool and it has a really cool, young vibe. We have three amazing stars. LL Cool J is mogul. He is charismatic and he looks you in the eye when he talks to you. He's a funny, really cool, down to Earth guy. You'll see that presence on screen. He's fantastic and just a force to be reckoned with. Chris O'Donnell is a complete pro and he's just cool as a cucumber. Linda Hunt, our Oscar winner, is just the real deal all around. The repartee between all of them and the team is amazing. There is really great chemistry as a team. On top of all that, it's really funny, which I like. I like that it's a serious crime drama with a lot of humor and levity in it.

Q) Where can people go online to learn more about you?
