Remy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) the rat has a special gift; the gift of smell.  His gift has led him to a dream of becoming a great French Chef, despite his father's wish to be a part of the colony.  There is a big problem with that dream; he's a rat!   The chef business doesn't exactly look too kindly on the rodent species.  After a close encounter with a human, the colony flees and Remy gets lost from his family.  Remy enters the sewers of Paris and finds himself situated in front of a formerly famous restaurant run by culinary artist Auguste Gusteau (Brad Garrett).  Remy enters the restaurant and finds it to be full of dangers, but also full of amazing smells and food.  It's at Gusteau's that Remy makes a friend in Linguini (Lou Romano).  The two decide to pair up and become a cooking team with Remy doing the cooking with his flair for spices and taste while Linguini does all the leg work.  How does this happen without Remy being discovered?  It's quite clever but you'll just have to wait and see!  Will the dynamic duo be able to continue to pull it off without head chef Skinner (Ian Holm) finding out?

Ratatouille is an adorable tale of a rat who keeps the idea that he doesn't have to do what his family expects of him, he can do what he dreams of!  There is a sweet lesson in the story and the film is funny, poignant, sweet and charming.  Who knew you could fall in love with a rat?  Viewers of all ages will enjoy this animated feature.  Head to the theaters this weekend and park yourself in a chair.  Get ready to find a new found love for rats and for food.
