Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I’ve actually been working behind camera with the short film I directed called The Curtain.  We are traveling to the film festivals that we have been accepted into and I was recently nominated for best International Director at the Portland Short Film festival. So, it’s been a whirlwind.

Q) What is new in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Road Less Traveled and with your character?

A) We get to see how Rita deals with conflict and stress.  Rita is probably one of the most positive people in the world, but even she has her moments and this is a good time to see if the stress and lack of communication will bring them closer together or tear them apart.

Q) How was the character originally described to you?

A) In my mind when I read the breakdown I envisioned Mimi from “The Drew Carey Show,” which was not something I had EVER played. [laughs] I have never been given the opportunity to do character work and thank the heavens for Martha [Williamson]! She saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself.  Together we sat down and created what you now see on Signed, Sealed, Delivered.  It’s one of the things I admire most about Martha, she writes for her actors’ strengths instead of forcing them into a box.

Q) What keeps challenging you about this character?

A) Martha is always adding more and more layers into our storylines and it’s so awesome. Every day I look up my work and try to deepen my understanding of what Rita is feeling and going through.

Q) With such a great cast, you have to have some fun behind the scenes stories. What are some you can share with us?

A) The Starcruiser kept falling apart and wouldn’t work.  At some points we just had a bunch of crew rocking it back and forth while we pretended it was moving properly.

Q) Who are some of the guest stars you can tease for this installment?

A) Jamie-Lynn Sigler!!!!!!  She is incredible.  And my dear friend Jason Cermak from “When Calls the Heart.”

Q) What do you think it is about Signed, Sealed, Delivered that has made it such a fan favorite film franchise?

A) It’s the type of show that leaves you thinking and gives you hope.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive to episodes from POstables?

A) I love that I can hear from all the fans right away.  I’m so grateful for these social media outlets for giving me the opportunity to talk to our fans directly and answer questions they might have.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Make sure you stick around to watch Movie 10 as well because it’s absolutely beautiful.
