Q) Who are some of your favorite musical artists?

A) Some of my favorite artists are Billie Holiday, Deniece Williams and Mariah Carey.

Q) Why did you decide to apply for the show?

A) Somebody told me that they had seen the commercial and I didn’t believe them. My aunt looked up the information on the Internet for me and the audition was actually the next do so I just went for it.

Q) What was your audition tape like for the show?

A) For my audition I had to sing, dance and rap. I did a couple of original songs, as well as a song by Nivea and a song by Robyn.

Q) What was it like meeting T-Boz and Chilli?

A) It was really exciting to meet Chilli and T-Boz. I’ve been a fan of TLC ever since they first came out so it was like a dream come true!

Q) What is your performance background?

A) I have never taken voice lessons, but I’ve studied dance since I was about three years old: ballet, tape, jazz, hip hop and modern.

Q) Who do you plan on keeping in touch with from the show?

A) I will probably keep in touch with Lauren and O’so Krispie. I was already cool with O’so Krispie because we had an audition before the semifinals in LA. That’s when I met her, but Lauren was one of my group members, one of the Skittles, so I got cool with her then.

Q) What did you learn most about the music industry from being on the show?

A) I learned that the industry is what you make of it. I learned that if you keep trying to pursue your dream and you keep going no matter what that eventually that you will achieve success and get some kind of gratification out of it. You have to have that motivation and it can’t die.

Q) Is there a part of your personality or a talent that you didn’t get to show on your program?

A) I feel that most of my personality came through, but I don’t feel that I show my talent as much as I could have with the show. I don’t feel that I got to do enough performances and I didn’t get to do any of my original songs or show any of my writing skills. Over all, it was a good experience and it was exposure.

Q) What are you going to do now that you are no longer on the show?

A) I am going to continue to do my music career. Right now I’m working on finishing up my album. I’ve been working on it for a little while now and I just have a few more songs to do. I plan to perform wherever I can and continue to do what I’ve always been doing.

Q) Who do you think will be the winner?

A) I am not sure. I think that everybody left has a chance so I guess everyone will just have to wait and see!

Q) What was your favorite part of the whole experience?

A) My favorite part had to be when we met New Edition and got to open up for them. That was really exciting!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) I’d like to say thank you all so much. Every time I see my fans, whether it is at the grocery store or the mall or anywhere, they all give me so much love. They give me hugs and so much love and I really appreciate it! I’m really blessed.
