Deltrice Thorner – Road to Stardom

Q) Who are some of your favorite music artists?

A) My favorite artist range from Billie Holiday to Aretha Franklin, Lauryn Hill, Faith Evans, Patti Labelle, Jill Scott, and even Alanis Morrisette.

Q) Why did you decide to apply for the show?

A)  I applied for the show because I love music and entertainment.

Q) What was your audition process like?

A) Actually, my audition was easy. I got a “Front of the Line” pass from Mona Scott and got right in there and auditioned. Missy was behind a screening glass where I couldn’t see her and then she came out and said I was dope.

A) Incredible! She is my favorite female producer and rapper. I kept my cool while being amazed by her presence.

Q) Do you plan on keeping in touch with anyone from the show? If so, whom?

A) Yes, I plan on keeping in touch with Jessica, she’s my sister.  Then there’s Marcus, Franky, Nic, Heather and even with double E. It’s love with everyone.                

Q) What did you learn from being on the show?

A) I learned that I had incredible strength and that my talent was versatile.

Q) What is the best piece of advice you received while on the program?

A) The best advice was given by Madonna letting us know that we were not the owners of our talent, just the managers.

A)  Performing in front of Tina and Dallas was a great honor, but a little scary.

A) The most difficult challenge was the limo ride when there was just me and Jess left. That was hard! Being that she was my friend first and competition next made it difficult.

A) I’ve been told that I was three years old when I began to sing, yet I realized it was a gift at 12 years old when I saw people cry because of what I sang.

A) Yes, we have talked about collaborating on her and also my project I look forward to this she is a great talent.

A) Since the program is over I plan to just hustle and word on the street is that you may hear from me and Missy sooner than later.

A) To all my fans and supporters thank you! You will never know what you mean to me. I love you all and may God bless you and yours. Follow your dreams because you can do it!
