Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) In addition to “Project Dad” for Chicken Soup For The Soul Entertainment, I am touring and doing standup in preparation for my next self-produced comedy special.

Q) How did you become involved with “Project Dad?”

A) Executive Producer Derek Britt and I have been friends and colleagues for years. He called me up one day to catch up and asked if I had a baby. My son, Austen, was seven months old at the time and that conversation was the start of my involvement with “Project Dad.”

Q) What was it about the premise that really made you want to be a part of the series?

A) The challenge of proving to the world — and my lady — that I was and could be “Super Dad” was all I needed. I wanted bragging rights and to be able to talk trash to all the people that thought I didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell!

Q) Were you nervous at all about being a part of the show?

A) I was never nervous about being part of the show. I was only nervous about what I was going to do about my son’s thirst for breast milk when mommy wasn’t around.

Q) How familiar were you with the other dads before joining the show?

A) I knew of DJ Skribble from seeing him on MTV back in the day.

Q) Were there certain parts of your life that you deemed off limits to the camera?

A) Nothing was off limits for me. If we’re going to do reality, let’s do reality!

Q) What is new this season on “Project Dad?”

A) Dave Chappelle giving me father advice on what to expect while being on the road is new and priceless.

Q) What have been some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A) Taking my son swimming for the first time and having him onstage with me for one of my stand routines was awesome!

Q) Is there anything you want to be sure fans know about you and this season of “Project Dad?”

A) I would like my fans to know that not only am I am a dope comedian, I’m a dope dad who is in love with being a father.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan feedback have you received from being a part of the show?

A) Fan feedback has been awesome. My fans have seen me as a character actor and funny guy for years, but now they get to see me in my best role – as a Dad. They have been having so much fun with my interaction with my son.

Q) What do you think it is about “Project Dad” that has made it a fan favorite show?

A) This show has all the drama of raising kids and all the comedy that comes with that. It’s an easy show to watch and get connected to. So often we see moms going through the trials and tribulations of parenting, but “Project Dad” gives the men time to shine.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I want my fans to know that I am their biggest fan, and without them I am just an ashy guy from the hood. I salute them and their support.
