Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as R&B with a dash of pop and Latin flare!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I would say some of my musical influences are Rosalia, Kehlani, Miguel, Bryson Tiller and SZA. They all just have a sound I naturally gravitate to.

Q) What made you finally feel comfortable to transition from influencer to musician?

A) I think what made me comfortable to make that transition was seeing the amount of support I had from my fans, friends and family!

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Let Me Live.”

A) “Let Me Live” was a song that was brought to me during a session and immediately connected to and felt like everyone else that I knew did as well. I feel like it’s easy in relationships for someone start asking a lot of questions on where you’re going, who are you hanging out with, why do you have to see them, etc. Relationships are based off of trust and if you don’t have that then there’s nothing, in my opinion. The song is basically telling my significant other to relax, that he’s got nothing to worry about and if he trusts me everything will be okay.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think they connect with it so well because it’s relatable! When I was in high school almost every friend that I had dealt with an issue like this.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) I really wanted to do the video on my own and without a love interest because it shows independence! I also added a little attitude, too!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I always like to have some sort of base track to start writing from! It helps me start thinking of different melodies that I can put throughout the song almost right away.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) Since I am an independent artist, I do have a big say when it comes to creating my music. It’s actually really nice because I get the sound and song exactly the way I want without any restriction.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Franny Arrieta performance?

A) A lot, a lot of fun!!

Q) Will there be a full EP or album coming in the near future?

A) Yes!

Q) What advice would you give other up and coming artists looking to get started in the music business?

A) Stay consistent, keep writing and making music, push your music out to the world and never let anyone tell you it’s not possible!

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I like performing in intimate settings! You really can feel the energy in the mood!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Rosalia for sure! She is my idol at the moment

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) My favorite band is LANY. They’ve been my favorite for a couple years now and I think I just love how easy and vibey the music is to listen too.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans? What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I think I have the best fans in the entire world! I honestly don’t know what I did to have gotten such a strong support system. Social media lets me connect with them at a very personal level. I take them with me on almost everything I do! Whether it’s me posting on my IG story, filming a vlog and uploading that onto my channel, I love having that connection with them. Literally they are all my best friends!
