The Fuller family returns with more adventures and more music. The first episodes of Season Three opens with a colorful and amazingly entertaining musical related to the beginning of summer vacations where Max (Elias Harger) and the whole family sing and dance to the rhythm of the song “Best Summer Ever.” We can see Jimmy (Adam Hagenbuch) dressed as Superman, Matt (John Brotherton) disguised as Batman, Fernando (Juan Pablo Di Pace) in his pilot suit and Steve (Scott Weinger) as Bugs Bunny. The Fuller´s backyard has suddenly served as a magical dancing stage where everyone seem to be happy that summer has officially started. But, as it always happens, everything has an end which comes when Jackson (Michael Campion) wakes Max and informs him that he is only having a dream.

Meanwhile in the kitchen, DJ (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy (Andrea Barber) are enjoying the quietness of the place when Steve breaks in with CJ (Virginia Williams) by the arm, announcing they have already set a date and a place for their wedding. They have decided to marry at the end of the summer in Japan, much to the other three girls’ surprise to which CJ explains that her stepfather lives in there and he is paying for the whole wedding. After the couple leave, DJ is left with the attempt of embracing the good news and the moment is suddenly broken by Kimmy who tells her that it must be pretty hard that Steve is getting married with someone who is not her. But Stephanie tells her that she´s got Matt who is so dreamy, making DJ to confess that she had in fact a dream about him last night where they were folding laundry.

Jimmy walks in and tells Stephanie that his RV will be parked at Costco since “somebody” (he turns and throws a stare at DJ, suggesting she was the one who did it) had posted signs saying “no parking overnight” in the house. DJ feels offended and starts to list a number of reasons why she considers the RV should be oved until she finally confesses she was the one who did it (stating the obvious). Matt arrives at the Fullers in order to take DJ to work with him, but she can´t since she has to stay a little longer to inform Jackson about the news: he is attending summer school. And, as a way to feel less guilty, she had prepared a steak sandwich, an entire pumpkin pie and also bought a $50 dollar iTunes gift card for her son. Matt understands the situation and confesses he is going to miss her making Kimmy make fun of him. He says they spend eight hours a day working together, but he says that they barely see each other since DJ does cats and dogs meanwhile he does birds and bunnies. They wave their goodbyes and Matt finally leaves. Kimmy suggests that she and Matt should spend more time together, but outside of work to which DJ replies that she is going to fix it.

Fernando is acting suspiciously when he comes downstairs and waves goodbye to Kimmy who stops him before he leaves and questions him about his destination. But he lies and tells her he is going “nowhere” and to “meet no one.” Kimmy seems upset that Fernando is not being honest with her, but there´s nothing else she can do at the moment. The kids come running downstairs, screaming out of excitement, “No school, no school.” Max sings again that this is going to be the “best summer ever” and confesses he doesn’t know why he can’t get the song out of his head. Ramona (Soni Bringas) is about to leave the house when Kimmy stops her and asks her where she is heading. It seems the girl is planning to spend the day at Migthy Mountain with Popko (Isaak Presley) to which the woman wants to join, but Ramona stops her saying that if she goes she would only play the third wheel. Kimmy says she just wants to spend more time with her daughter and Ramona fools her saying that if she gives her the credit card, it’ll be as though a piece of her is there, wherever she goes. In the other hand, Jackson says if they want to find him, he will be in the couch for the next three months and goes to the leaving room. DJ follows him and tells him she has something important to tell him and she confesses that since his grades were truly low he is attending to summer school. Jackson freaks out now that his plans area heading a different direction and he is slowly pushed to the door by DJ who tells him that he really need to work on his grades. Jackson argues that is not fair and says that she can´t do that to him since he is “Chillaxin’ Jackson,” but his mother changes the title and says that now he could be “History Passin’ Jackson” and pulls him outside the house.

Kimmy realizes that this summer may be the last she spends with Ramona since she is going to high school pretty soon. And DJ realizes as well that this might be her last chance to help Jackson to become a better student and not end up unemployed and living in her couch, right that moment, Stephanie shows her head through the door and tells them she could hear them talking about her.

Jackson arrives at the school and asks a tough looking girl if that´s the room assigned to summer school and the girl replies with a sarcastic line to him. She introduces herself as Roxanne a/k/a “Rocki” and Jackson does the same referring to him as “J Money,” but the girl doesn’t buy it. The girl advises Jackson not to look at the teacher on the eyes or he might explode and right that moment, Mr. Byenberg (Mike Ostroski) shows up at the door and invites them to come in, looking utterly suspicious.

Meanwhile, at Costco, Jimmy, Stephanie and Morris (Ervin Ross), the store security guard, are enjoying the free food samples that Jimmy collected. Morris tells them that he likes them but the managers had told him to ask them to leave if they are not buying anything. Jimmy says that if they want him to buy something then, they should stop giving free samples. Morris leaves and the couple is left there enjoying the food. Suddenly, Stephanie looks through the window and sees Fernando hugging a blonde woman so excitedly. She and Jimmy witness the moment and she suggests they should talk about it with Kimmy, but the man says he won’t tell her since he hates confrontations. Stephanie starts to tell him he should be the one to talk to his sister, but he covers his ears and begins to sing “lalala” and leaves to the other side of the RV.

Matt and DJ are at the vet clinic taking care of a bunny when suddenly when Matts gets distracted, DJ takes her white coat off and is left with a very provocative red dress. Matt turns around and is surprised at what he sees. She attempts to put on some “sexy music,” but the song that comes out is the one she uses on Tommy (Dashiell Messitt/Fox Messitt). She changes the tune and walks “sexily” towards Matt and when they are kissing, Mrs. Hathaway opens the door making Matt and DJ embarrassed at the situation.

DJ arrives at the house and calls for Jackson. She has bought his favorite pizza and ice cake. Ramona, who is in the kitchen with Tommy, tells her that “someone” looks guilty for sending “someone” to summer school but the woman denies it. Jackson comes downstairs wearing his hoodie and looking down. When he faces DJ, he reveals his face to be painted as though he was a kitty to what Ramona laughs. He takes the cake and the pizza box and goes to the leaving room followed by DJ as he explains that he fell asleep and Rocki drew on his face. At that moment, someone knocks at their door and Rocki appears; DJ asks her why she drew on her son´s face and she explains that he fell asleep and started snoring like a cat so that´s why she did it. She also confesses that the principal asked her to apologize to him so she does it and also says she is sorry for the drawing on his back. When she is in the middle of her apology, someone honks the horn at the young girl and she yells back. The conversation goes on and then Gia (Marla Sokoloff), Stephanie’s old friend, walks in wearing a fake smile. She and DJ have a long way back. Jackson is still mad so he decides to quit on summer school and walks away. DJ dismisses Gia and Rocki and goes to talk to Jackson. After a lovely mother-son talk, she finally manages to convince him on going back to school and makes his best effort.

Jimmy and Stephanie agree on telling Kimmy about Fernando and the hot blond at Costco. Kimmy shows up and her brother spills some part of the news before running away leaving Stephanie to deal with the whole situation herself. Just as she informs Kimmy what she saw, Fernando walks in holding the blonde by the arm and saying he has some important news to share, also he confesses his love for the woman. Kimmy gets mad and throws a lemonade at him, then at the blonde. The mysterious blond introduces herself as Debbie Gold (Cynthia Murell), Fernando´s realtor. Stephanie feels guilty and saves them from the trouble and throws a lemonade at herself. Debbie leaves and Fernando calls the whole family to tell them that he had bought a house for him, Kimmy and Ramona. Unfortunately, Kimmy refuses to move in with him due to the promise she made to DJ. Fernando says he is not leaving without a Gibbler in his arms so Jimmy runs and throws himself at Fernando´s open arms. Now, they have become roommates.

Matt shows up and asks DJ for a minute to talk to her. He wants an explanation about what happened earlier today at the clinic and she explains that she feels they need to connect more but he tells her he loves her so she says it back as well. For now, everything seems to be settled between the two of them.
