“We can’t rewind. There is no replay. You just have to cut and hope to God we know what the hell we are doing.” – Meredith

Boy, is that an understatement. This week we find the hospital in a “Code Pink” because of a missing child. Hospital security is trying to tell Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to give this some thought before giving the official word, but Karev (Justin Chambers) is pressuring her to call it so they can find this kid by mentioning Tucker. She gives the go-ahead. All the doors to the hospital are locked and no one can go in or out. Doctors are scrambling to get to an area to stabilize their patients, some not so lucky. Such is the case with Warren (Jason George) and he is completely stuck between a rock and a hard place…Just as the Code Pink is called off, we find Warren has operated on a pregnant woman to retrieve her baby and blood is everywhere! When is he going to remember that he is just an intern?

We flash back to the arrival of the pregnant woman, Gretchen, arriving in an ambulance as she and her family have been in a car crash. We also see her being passed around from doctor to doctor. We cut back to current time where we find Bailey on a mission to find out exactly what happened in order to clear her hubby’s name. After finding some footage of Warren operating on Gretchen, she notices that the elevator door has opened before he makes an incision. This means, he had time to seek help before operating outside of the rules and operating on the patient. With this realization, Bailey arranges for a Hospital Advisory Board to investigate, something Webber (James Pickens, Jr.) isn’t pleased about. He tells Bailey that she’s the Chief so she needs to step up to the plate and dole out some discipline. She explains she has put together this committee to find out what happened and suggest how to handle his actions. She says that once they have suggested a penalty that she’ll make the final decision on how to proceed.

In the meantime, Gretchen’s family is in a tough spot. Gretchen didn’t survive the surgery and her husband, Omar, is in a coma. Bailey meets with Omar’s mother to find out what she’d like to do about a DNR. She doesn’t know what to do, but her granddaughter Jasmine (Asia Monet Ray) says that she should sign the papers as her father would probably want to be with their mother. With this, the grandmother signs the papers.
