Janel Parrish – Pretty Little Liars

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I’m working on the fifth season of “Pretty Little Liars” and For The Record: Tarantino (live entertainment) in West Hollywood every weekend!

Q) What is new this season on “Pretty Little Liars” and with your character Mona?

A) Everything is different this season because Ali is back. Mona is NOT happy about it. Everyone reacts to Ali’s return in different ways.

Q) Mona is a multilayered character. What is your favorite aspect of her to portray?

A) I love smart, badass Mona. Mona is always on her own side and always has a plan. That part is so much fun to play.

Q) How do you get into Mona’s mindset when you are about to film?

A) I just play. She enjoys being smart.

Q) Mona seems to have gathered an army to take on Ali. Who do you think will be her most loyal ally?

A) Herself, ultimately.

Q) We see that Mike may be getting back together with Mona. Is he someone she has real feelings for or is this just another opportunity falling into her lap?

A) Mona definitely has real feelings for Mike. It’s sweet to see that side of her.

Q) You have gotten to work with some incredible directors on the show. Who have been some of your favorites?

A) I love all our directors, but Norman Buckley is one of my favorites. He has been with us since the beginning and really LOVES and understands the show. He knows how to get through to his actors.

Q) Who have you not filmed with from the cast that you would like to see have some scenes with Mona?

A) I always love working with new people! I would love to have some scenes with Holbrook (Sean Faris).

Q) What do you think it is about “Pretty Little Liars” that continues to make it a fan favorite show?

A) It sucks you in! You can’t NOT know what happens…

Q) What are some quick fashion tips for fans that you can share when they are headed out for a night on the town?

A) Red lipstick and lots of mascara!
