Jesse Moss – Stepping in to the Spotlight

By  |

Q) What are the current projects that you are working on?

A) Since the show wrapped in April, I’ve been hanging out. I have been traveling and even went to Costa Rica with the cast of “Whistler.”  Some of us went surfing for ten days together. Then, I went to Europe where I visited London, Amsterdam and Italy for about three weeks. Next, I went to Los Angeles and just got back into town. I’ve just basically been having fun.

Q) Please tell us about your character Quinn on the show “Whistler.”

A) Quinn is a lower middle class kid who is born and raised in Whistler. He’s always lived in the shadow of his older brother, Beck. He’s not as handsome, talented or popular as Beck. When Beck is found dead, he’s kind of thrust into the spotlight and forefront. It’s a place he’s not really accustomed to being in. He starts to discover things about Beck and Whistler. He starts to discover himself, as well. So, it’s a journey for him.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) I had a gut feeling with it. I don’t know what it was, but it felt right for me. When I read the first two episodes, it was confirmed because the writing is just amazing. It takes place in Whistler so the opportunity to shoot there just sounded amazing to me!

Q) What has been your most memorable moment from filming?

A) I would have to say just being up in Whistler. The entire cast and crew stayed together at the same hotel. We’d all go and shoot all day, working hard, and then at night everyone would hang out together in the lounge as one big happy family. It was great!

Q) How did you prepare for your role as a snowboarder?

A) I’ve been snowboarding for thirteen years so I was pretty comfortable up on the mountain. It didn’t take much preparation.

Q) You worked with Amanda Crew on the film Final Destination 3 and now again on the show. What is it like getting to reteam up with her?

A) She’s amazing! It was great and I loved it! I loved getting that opportunity again.

Q) Does the cast have a lot of chemistry off set as well as on set?

A) Yes, everyone loves each other. We get along so well! You rarely find that a cast wants to hang out all together after the show ends. We miss each other and we need to hang out. It’s been great!

Q) Why should viewers take the time to tune into “Whistler?”

A) It’s dark, edgy, sexy, it’s got great writing and an amazing cast. It takes place in Whistler. Who doesn’t love Whistler?

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) I play guitar and I write songs. I have a little BMX bike that I cruise around on. I have a great group of friends that I hang out with.

Q) What is your latest obsession? A book? A sport? A band? A movie?

A) I am obsessed with the song “Such Great Heights” by The Postal Service. I can’t get it out of my head. I think the band is so original and the lyrics are so amazing.
