Q) How did you become involved with Ladies of London?

A) I randomly received a phone call from a producer on the show who told me that my name had been put forward!  And I was like…WHO DID THAT?! [laughs]

Q) What was it about the premise that really made you want to be a part of the series?

A) For me, it was about the show providing a great platform for Mapperton and for my yoga and other businesses.  I’m not at all interested in becoming just a “reality TV star.”

Q) After having seen other shows on Bravo, were you nervous at all about being a part of Ladies of London

A) Yes, for sure. But Bravo assured me that what they are really looking for is an opinion.  It’s not about being “bitchy” and “nasty” – it’s simply having an opinion about situations, people and drama!

Q) Were there certain parts of your life that you deemed off limits to the camera?

A) To this day, I am still very, very careful about exposing too much of my children and their lives.  I don’t want them to be discussed amongst their friends or pointed out at school so I’m still very careful as to how much I allow filming of my kids.

Q) This season we are watching you move into Mapperton and take on a greater role running it. What have you learned about the estate from this new undertaking?

A) Well, for one – it’s hard! There is an enormous amount of pressure to make Mapperton work commercially and so there’s not a whole lot of room for error.  We actually do need to get this right.

Q) Last season we saw you working on your product JUB. Do you have any other products you have been working on?

A) Right now I’m focused on my new Wellness Membership Site for Women called Truly Julie where we focus on incorporating small moments of self-care into our daily lives. I’ve had hundreds of women sign up, which in turn has created this wonderful online community of super women and super support.  I’m also, of course, focused on my two cookbooks and one wellness book as I had two more come out in 2016!

Q) Watching the episodes when they air gives you new insight. Do you now have a greater insight into what happened between you and Caroline Stanbury?

A) It’s always interesting and valuable to hear someone else’s opinion.  When we’re filming, we really only get to hear our own!  So, it’s nice to see and hear “the other side” because as we all know, there are two sides to every story.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan feedback have you received from being a part of the show?

A) Mostly super supportive.  I mean, as with anyone on social media, you do get the odd super unkind tweet or post, but that’s par for the course. I focus on the positive comments and followers that I have as those are the ones who are following me because they like my message.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A) For sure, the weekend at Mapperton.  Just wait until you see those two episodes… amazing.  And our group trip this year was super fun and actually a great time had by all.

Q) Is there anything you want to be sure fans know about you and this season of Ladies of London?

A) I just want to go out and inspire people to be the happiest and healthiest version of themselves.  And that’s it in a nutshell.

Q) What do you think it is about Ladies of London that has made it a fan favorite show?

A) For one, being able to really get an inside look into London and how gorgeous this city is and well, of course, the drama between us all – Americans and English and Danish!
