Q) Talk about the audition process for the show “Pretty Little Liars.”

A) I am a huge fan. My mom, sister and I are super fans so when I got the audition I was super excited. When I got it, I heard I was going to be a love interest for a new character or one of the people around. I went to the audition and then got an email about my call-back. It said that I would be having a chemistry read with Keegan Allen and I was like, “Why would I read with Keegan Allen? He’s with Spencer! OH NO! Not Spoby! They’re endgame!” I was in shock and hearing the tweets already in my head. It was awesome though and I got to read with Keegan. It was so cool meeting him and Marlene [King]. I was in shock for the first couple of hours when I got it.

Q) It sounds like you were a fellow Spoby fan.

A) I was! Out of all them, I thought it was hilarious that it was where I fit in.

Q) Are you a fan of any other OTP couples?

A) I think they are all perfect. Especially at the very start of Ezria, there was the will they – won’t they. I loved the push back and forth of them. I thought it was very interesting. I think there should be more of a shift to the ships for the moms and daughters. Hanna and her mom – her mom will do anything for her! I like when the parents crossover, too. That’s always really cool to watch.

Q) Did the description of Yvonne change from your initial audition?

A) Not too much. She was described as a very polished political person that she definitely came to be. I love that they made her suspicious about being so in the dark. It was very interesting that she was the new girl, but her and Spencer weren’t at odds with each other. It was just sort of an awkward situation.

Q) The episode with Spencer and Yvonne having lunch was great. Yvonne said, “I love an iron lady,” which could have caused a ship as well.

A) Toby definitely has a type. So, Spencer and Yvonne would definitely be friends.

Q) Toby is building Yvonne a house, too!

A) I’m a very lucky girl!

Q) As the political race on the show continues, there are some campaign concerns rearing their head. I’d love to hear about what is in store as we are inching towards the culmination.

A) It came out about my unwanted pregnancy. So, it will be interesting to watch how the drama effects the race. As things start to come out more and more, I get really nervous. I want what is best for my mother’s campaign.

Q) Battle lines are being crossed.

A) Everyone is using their secrets against each other. That’s part of the show!

Q) Talk about the relationship between Mona and Yvonne.

A) Slowly, but surely you start finding out. I think Mona (Janel Parrish) does a lot more than I do. She’s able to play with me.

Q) Who is someone you have yet to work with on “Pretty Little Liars” that you would love to share a scene with?

A) I’ve seen everyone, but I’d love to work directly with Dre Davis, who plays Sara Harvey. That would just make everything explode. That would be the nail in my “A” suspicious coffin. Sara is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It’s crazy!

Q) Are you enjoying the instant fan feedback you are receiving to your appearance on the show?

A) I think it is fun. I’ve been such a fan of the show so I would be right there tweeting along with them. So, it’s cool to see. Everyone has been relatively respectful. They’ll be like, “Hey Kara! You’re rad! Can Yvonne go away though?” It’s all been fun and I think that’s what makes PLL awesome – their fandom is like no other.

Q) What has been your favorite or most enjoyable experience being a part of “Pretty Little Liars” franchise and series?

A) It’s been just an absolute dream come true. Working with Keegan – he is just the sweetest, most welcoming person. He brought me around set. He was like, “This is my new girlfriend!” He was very cool about introducing me to people and telling me what to expect with the fans, how to handle the hate. He was absolutely amazing and everyone on there was so sweet and professional. I got to see all of the sets I have been watching on TV for six years. I’ve never been so excited to see an insane asylum – Radley! [laughs] I don’t know if anyone else on the show was excited to see that scary place, but I was stoked!

Q) Are you able to share any behind the scenes pics?

A) I got a couple with Keegan and some of the writers. So, slowly but surely I will start letting them go.

Q) What has been your favorite aspect of working with Keegan?

A) We were able to hang out and developed a really cool friendship. He was always making sure that I was comfortable on set and knew where stuff was. I was very, very grateful to have him as my on set fiancé. I’ve never been so happy at 4am! [laughs] It was so funny when I was on set because we had done the chemistry read and then I was on set for just a few minutes when I was like, “Hey again! Oh, I have to kiss you again? Cool.” He was so sweet and welcoming that it made it comfortable and easy.

Q) The cast is known for their jokes and humor. Were you there for any pranks that may have been pulled?

A) They definitely have a great sense of humor. Everyone’s relationship is so sweet. They are such a family, but they do poke at each other and were making silly SnapChat videos. It was fun watching them making their videos with one another.

Q) What else can you tease is in store for “Pretty Little Liars” fans?

A) Definitely keep watching! If you think you have an idea, you’re probably wrong. You think you know? You don’t. Keep your eyes out because they are doing a marathon during the finale and I got to do an interview with Ms. Hastings (Lesley Fera) that will be playing during the finale with the PLL Superfan event. Stay tuned for the finale to see what happens with everyone.
