Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My sound is unique, original and very much me.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) The 90’s influences me on the daily. I also look up to Missy Elliott, Justin Bieber, Kehlani and Russ.

Q) What are some themes you explore on your new single “Bye Haters?”

A) This song is literally a reminder that no matter what the haters say, no matter how hard they attempt to get our attention, they will never live in our minds like we do in theirs rent free.

Q) Does this track hold a special place in your heart and why?

A) This song is very important to me because I think as an indie artist a lot of us get unnecessary hate for pursuing our dream. Everyone has an opinion, and they love to tell us music isn’t a real job. We’re here to say that’s not true.

Q) The cover for the single was inspired by the series “Bratz.” What made this show the perfect look for this single?

A) I asked Cassidy Paige if she could create a memorable cover art for this song and upon listening to the song, she asked for selfies of me and Dasmonique. She thought our sassy attitudes needed the same attitude for the cover art and she did a phenomenal job with this “Bratz” inspired cover art.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I don’t really have a process, if I’m honest. Sometimes I am inspired by just a word or a sound I hear, and I’ll go into songwriting mode from that alone. Sometimes a beat will inspire lyrics, but I have hundreds of verses/hooks/songs written that don’t have beats yet.”

Q) What do you hope people take away from checking out “Bye Haters?”

A) I just want them to feel confident, inspired and reminded not to be discouraged by haters.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I have only performed a handful of times, but I’ve loved every venue. I just enjoy being up on stage and feel blessed to get that opportunity when it’s offered.
