Q) How did you become involved with the show “Vanderpump Rules?”

A) Working at SUR! I worked there for a couple of years before the show started and when Lisa came to the staff and told us they were going to be doing a pilot me, Kristen, Stassi and Jax were all like, “Done! We have to do this! The rest is history.” We have all been friends anywhere from seven to ten years.

Q) After having seen the other shows on Bravo, were you nervous at all about being a part of the series?

A) There were certain areas where you definitely think about what the worst case scenario could be with putting your life out there and your relationship and everything. I didn’t want to worry though about something that hadn’t happened yet. I didn’t want to be scared of something that could potentially do a lot of great things for me.

Q) Were there parts of your life you deemed off limits to the camera?

A) No. [laughs] I think why the show is so great is because w are all open books. We don’t try to protect or hide areas of our life, which is why some people that may haven’t been on the show long enough are no longer on.

Q) What was the most difficult part of planning a wedding on TV?

A) All of it! [laughs] Obviously, we’re working at the restaurant for Lisa, filming a show and planning a wedding in twelve weeks. It was about having enough time. I was spread so thin that rather than eating some days I would be on the phone with the coordinator or trying to get the flowers sorted out or whatever detail that was going on. I had to just use every moment of the day wisely and that definitely got me to some breaking points, for sure.

Q) What made you ask Lisa to officiate you wedding?

A) Tom and I are not religious people so having a pastor or reverend or whoever it may be didn’t seem right. Lisa, being ordained, knowing Tom and I very well and being supportive of the both of us – we thought it would be really special and more personable to us.

Q) What aspect of the wedding are you most looking forward to viewers seeing?

A) My bridal shower was so sweet and my bridesmaids made it so special. The wedding itself – the venue and the live band. It came together so beautifully and we were taking moments during the wedding and looking around. I was like, “I can’t believe this is my wedding!” It felt like a fairytale.

Q) Last season we saw you doing a beauty blog. Are there any new developments this season or are you just focused on the wedding?

A) This summer I didn’t have any other time. I’m still working on the blog, but now that the wedding is over you won’t see it on this season. If we get another season, then maybe. Right now we’re talking about expanding the brand and going into products and maybe doing some collaborations. Hopefully, maybe that can be shown a little more next season.

Q) Watching the episodes tends to give new insight into relationships, individuals and opinions. Do you have a greater viewpoint about Tom’s nerves for the wedding?

A) No. I asked him, “Is that really what happened when you went to the therapist?” He said, “No. I feel like they teased more that I wasn’t ready to get married.” I don’t know. I didn’t really sense from watching it that it was how that happened.

Q) There has been a great divided between you and Lala. Does watching the episodes fuel the fire between the two of you or have you gotten past it?

A) I don’t know. I think we’re just two people never meant to be friends. She is a pretty horrible person. During in between seasons she kind of made it her mission to say the worst things possible on every platform she was given about me and Tom. I just completely have written her off and I’m over her. I just don’t care and she just lies. So, I’m glad she’s not on the show anymore so I don’t have to listen to her lying anymore and talking about me. And I don’t have to talk about her anymore. I forget that she exists mostly.

Q) James gets chance after chance with Lisa. Is it something that makes Lisa so forgiving with him or does he just make for good TV?

A) Both maybe, but the thing with Lisa is she has such a big heart. She knows his family life and with him being so close to Max she has an extra soft spot for him and wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. But he keeps proving over and over again that he is just not a good employee. I think it was a long time coming, but it definitely had to happen on Lisa’s time and when she felt he had been given enough.

Q) The show has become has become so popular. Do you get recognized often?

A) Definitely. It’s been cool!

Q) How has married life been treating you?

A) I love it! It feels different in a lot of good sways. I’m more relaxed. I don’t feel tightly wound up about things. I’m just kind of settling in and starting our lives together. It’s cool to call Tom my husband.

Q) What are some memorable moments, outside of your wedding, that fans can look forward to this season?

A) When we went to Montauk for Stassi’s birthday. That was a lot of fun. I had never been to The Hamptons before so that was pretty cool. We went to New Orleans, which was pretty fun. There is definitely a lot of crazy things coming up that you’ll see that I don’t want to give away too much.

Q) You are a part of social media. What is it like for you to get feedback from viewers about your life, your decisions and the things you say?

A) It comes with the territory. I try to ignore it, but it is so, so annoying. [laughs] People are the worst online. I don’t understand it. Even if I had never been a part of the show, I’m not the type of person to ever go online to someone’s social media to talk trash about their life. I don’t care about my opinion, what I think or what I know – I just would never do that. So, it is hard for me to understand the logic of other people. At the end of the day, you only see moments of my life. You don’t see everything. You don’t know me as a full person or Tom. All that is important my friends, Tom and whoever I’m involved with on the show (in regards to what happens) that we know what happened. We don’t need the opinions of strangers to affect our minds.

Q) What do you think it is about “Vanderpump Rules” that has made it such a guilty pleasure?

A) We’re just ridiculous people! [laughs] We’re well aware of that. But I hear so often from so many people that they can really relate to some of the friendship drama. People say, “I totally did something similar to what you and Stassi did,” or they can relate to something between me and Tom. So, I think that’s kind of why people enjoy it so much. It’s so dramatic and crazy, but then people can also see themselves in some things that we go through.
