Q) What are some of your most recent projects that you are working on?

A) Right now I’m on a show on VH1 called “Celebrity Fit Club” where they follow 8 celebrities on their quest to lose weight, get fit and get healthy. That’s on right now and also it is pilot season (the time of year where they cast all the new shows and the new shows that might make it or not) so I am doing a lot of auditions.

Q) What was it that motivated you to take part in “Celebrity Fit Club?”

A) It was time for me to get healthier and because it seemed like a fun project to do. To get fit and to get healthy and to do it on TV, I’d have to do it knowing America would be watching that it would keep me honest. I thought it would be fun and it was, most of the time.

Q) We are happy to see that you did not let Daniel Baldwin’s tricks get to you. Did you ever consider revenge?

A) No, because I’m not vengeful. So what he sent me hundreds of Almond Joys one day, knowing that I was premenstrual. So what! That’s ok. I’m not vengeful and I knew that I’d win in the end. I don’t need to do anything because people do things to themselves.

Q) Have you gotten over your crush on your trainer Harvey?

A) I will never get over my crush on him. He’s a nice guy. No, I haven’t gotten over my crush on him. No one should. He is absolutely the type of guy I am looking for. He is an inspiration. He is strong and smart. What you see is the tough, but I know what is underneath that tough. He is a marine, he’s tough and that’s fine. He’s got a good heart and he genuinely cares about people getting healthy and fit. I think he has heart and to me that is important. He’s a bright guy and I like smart men.

Q) What was your most memorable moment from being on the show?

A) The whole thing was memorable. The final episode they said we could change our outfit and wear something different than what we’ve been wearing to the ceremonies. I was able to fit into a dress that I had in my closet, but had never worn. When I looked in the mirror and thought, “Oh my God, I’m wearing this dress that I’ve never worn before and it fits,” that was a personal real moment for me.

Q) Are you planning on keeping up with your training routine?

A) Absolutely, I still have been doing it. The show was in December and you are seeing it now of what we’ve already done. So, I’ve been keeping up with it and kept my weight off and in fact I have lost a couple of pounds since.

Q) Have you stayed in touch with anyone from “Living Single?”

A) I stay in touch with most of them. We talk intermittently. I am in touch and I could find any one of them at any time I wanted, some of them faster than others, some of them I have on speed dial and only one of them would I have to look for their number. Latifah is just so busy and it is hard to stay up with her, but we stay in touch all the time.

Q) What has been your favorite project that you have worked on?

A) I think my most favorite thing ever was “Living Single” because it was the best of everything. It was the best cast, the best work experience and we became a family (the cast and the crew as well). It was five years of great experience. I had fun and I was getting paid to do something that I really wanted to do and I formed a family with these people. We laughed every single day.

Q) What show would you most like to appear on and why?

A) It wouldn’t be anything typical. I’d love to appear on “A Wedding Story” because I want to get married again and this time have a wedding. The first time I got married I didn’t have a wedding. I want to be on “A Wedding Story” with my own fabulous wedding!

Q) You do a lot of work for VH1. What makes working for this channel so appealing?

A) It is geared towards my generation. The call me and I go! VH1 is sort of hip and my generation. That’s why I like it.

Q) You are one of the legendary female comedians. Who are some of your favorite comedians and why?

A) It ranges from everybody from Lucy to Carol Burnett to Whoopi Goldberg. Those are my favorites. I reach back to old school for my favorites.

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) I put crystals on everything. I bedazzle everything. Bedazzling and shopping are done in my spare time.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) I would like to say thanks for hanging in there. Thank you for being there and stay healthy. There is no trick to losing weight. The way you do it is you exercise more and you eat less. If you do that, you will succeed!
