Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Out of the box Pop

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) X Ambassadors, Sia, 2Pac, Stevie Nicks, Live , No Doubt , Imagine Dragons

Q) Your new single “Xanax (A Love Song)” is out now. Where did the idea for it come from?

A) The song was written as a love s ng to yourself.  Growing up, I suffered from panic attacks and I had to find a way to make sense of all the madness.  I believe we all have a safe place inside ourselves if we’re willing to do the work and find it.  For me it was Xanax (when needed) and therapy.

Q) What kind of fan response have you gotten to it?

A) It’s been overwhelmingly positive!

Q) What is it about “Xanax (A Love Song)” that fans have connected with?

A) I think they’ve connected with its authenticity.  The song came from a very honest and vulnerable place and I think people can see / hear that.

Q) How does the video for “Xanax (A Love Song)” fit with the message of the song?

A) The little girl represents the innocence and strength inside us all.  Sometimes we just need a little reminder that she’s still there.  No matter what we’re dealing with; addiction, depression, poverty, abuse, handicap we will overcome.

Q) What is your process like for writing music? Do you need the lyrics before the music?

A) It really depends on the song, but no matter what, I always start with a concept.  If you don’t have a good concept you have nothing.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) X Ambassadors, hands down.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Krysta Youngs performance?

A) They can expect to not be bored!

Q) Your signature look involves thick glasses. How would you describe your style?

A) Unforgettable.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I love it because it’s a instant connection between you and your fans.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your music?

A) Thank you for loaning me your ears for 3 minutes at a time.
