Q.  What are some of the recent projects that you’ve been working on?

A.  Well, I am working on Jump In!  It’s a Disney Channel movie.  It’s basically about this Double Dutch team and my role is Keshia Ray.  We’re having issues with keeping team members and stepping up our game of Double Dutch.  So, we find Corbin Bleu who plays Izzy.  He’s a boxer and we encourage him to join our time because we discover he’s a natural when it comes to the ropes.  He adds a little something special to our group but ends up being stuck between Double Dutch and boxing.

Q.  Was anything about the role challenging for you?

A.  The character was kind of like me, except my personality is bubbly but I also can have an edge to me.  So, it was really fun.

Q.  Did you have to train in Double Dutch for the role?

A.  When I first got the call to go for the audition I didn’t know anything about Double Dutch.  But, actually one of my dance teachers at my church volunteered to teach me how to Double Dutch.  So, it was like two days that I rehearsed and then I went to the audition and got it.  I didn’t know anything about Double Dutch before, I just crossed my fingers!

Q.  The new season of the show “All of Us” is currently airing.  What are some of the changes that have been going on with the show this season?

A.  I am new on the show and I am Dirk’s daughter, his newly found thirteen-year-old daughter from a college relationship.  So, it’s drama between Dirk and I.  He’s trying to raise a thirteen-year-old child but also try and keep his player status.  A lot of stuff with Robert and Neesee is going on.  Tisha Campbell, who is actually Duane Martin’s wife, is playing his sister on the show.  They just found out that their dad, wasn’t really Robert’s father.  He was his stepfather because his mother had a previous relationship with a man and was pregnant when she got married to his stepfather.  But, he finds out that his real father is Luther.

Q.  Do you have a really memorable moment from your time filming on the show?

A.  There are a lot of memories, like Tony makes fun of me a lot of times because I like Chris Brown.  He is like, “Oh my gosh, Chris Brown sings like a chipmunk.”  He says all of this stuff and I’m like, “No he doesn’t!”  He just makes fun of me and then busts out singing Chris Brown songs all of a sudden.  So, there are a lot of good times.

Q.  What made you want to be a part of the show?

A.  I really wanted to be a part of the show because all of the people on the show are driven, and I’m driven.  The show is an excellent show and I watch it all of the time.  Plus, it’s a positive Black family show on television.  It’s one of the popular shows so it is wonderful to be a part of it.

Q.  What do you think it is about the show that keeps people tuning in?

A.  I think it’s the main thing the family and it’s funny.  There are great actors, some people even Improv on the show so it’s really great.  But, the families are so split on some of these shows and even though the family is split; they can still work together.  So, it shows that you can still raise a child in a split family.  I think that’s why people like to watch it, I’m a part of a split family and it’s really good to watch and see how things work out.

Q.  What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A.  In my spare time I sing, I dance, I go to school and I hang out with my friends mostly.  I like going to the movies with my mom and my friends.

Q.  Do you have a latest obsession?  Are you into any particular sport, book, music group or activity?

A.  Well, I already said Chris Brown, but I really do like him.

Q.  What would you like to say to all of the fans and supporters of the show?

A.  Keep watching because it’s going to be really good with these next couple of episodes.  Keep watching; we need your support!
