Q.  What are some of the current projects that you’ve been working on?

A.  Right now I’m a model on the hit show “Deal or No Deal” on NBC, I hold briefcase number twenty-six.  I host a travel show for HDTV called “Get Out,” which I’ve done for five seasons.  I’ve gone all around the world.  We go where the hot spots are and we’re filming the next season this summer in South Africa.  I love hosting “Get Out,” that’s why I came out to LA, to pursue my hosting career.

Q.  What is it like getting to work with Howie Mandel on “Deal or No Deal”?

A.  Where do I begin?  Howie is such a character; he’s so fun to work with!  He’s always making us laugh; he’s such a good-hearted, energetic person.  The atmosphere on set is really laid back and fun and not serious.  He’s a nice guy with a great sense of humor.  If you’re having a bad day, Howie cheers you up.  I’ll find myself just cracking up on set, I don’t even think he’s trying to be funny most of the time.  He’s just really always funny and charismatic, just such a good energy to work with.  He’s always upbeat; I like that because I’m that way!  It’s really fun, everyday I enjoy going in to work because I work with really good people.

Q.  For those who haven’t been watching the show, what can you tell them about the premise?

A.  Well, there are twenty-six cases held by twenty-six beautiful models.  In the cases there is money ranging from one penny to one million dollars. We don’t know what’s in our cases, Howie doesn’t know, no one knows what’s in the cases.  It’s all randomized by a third party.  The contestant comes on and they pick a case.  Whatever their lucky number is, any number, they’re hoping that their case contains a million dollars.  To find out if their case has a million dollars, they open up all of our cases.  Whatever is in our case, is not in their case, So, we’re always hoping that we have a small enough amount of money which would give the contestant a better chance at winning a large amount of money.  That’s it, then there is a banker who throughout the show offers to buy the contestant’s case for an amount of money.  You have to have luck and timing.

Q.  What made you want to be a part of this show?

A. It’s something that I had never done before and originally when I got the audition I was told it was the host spot.  So, I was excited because I really love hosting, that’s my passion.  I thought to myself, “Oh, wow, to host a NBC show, that’s really big, I’d love to do this.”  Then, when I went to the audition, they were looking for twenty-six models.  I had modeled and I do enjoy modeling but I really like to be on television and that’s what I am passionate about.  It was kind of like, “Oh, I don’t know if I want to be a model on the show.”  Especially one of twenty-six.  When I found out more about the show it sounded like a really fun project.  Initially it was going to be only five episodes.  I thought why not, it’s something different and I’ve never been on a game show before.  I thought it would be a good experience for me, something different.  I am glad I did, look at it now; it’s the number one show on television.  It’s a huge hit!

Q.  What do you think it is about the show that has grabbed so much attention from viewers?

A.  I think it’s just a mix of things.  I think that obviously Howie really brings a lot to the show.  He is witty and funny and he is different than any other TV show host.  It’s a combination of him, the contestants, and of course the models.  The contestants are a big part of the show; they are always very different and entertaining.  I think that’s interesting because I think people can relate to the contestants.  They are everyday, ordinary people.  They come on with nothing and they can win a lot of money.  I think that it touches a lot of people and I think the girls, twenty-six girls.  We are really a huge part of the show; this is the first game show with twenty-six Vanna Whites.  So, I think it’s a combination of things, that’s why it makes this show different than Price Is Right and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.  It’s all of the different elements in the show.  Those few things combined really make it the show that it is.  I think people really gravitate towards that, it just jumps out at you, it sucks you in, you get addicted.

Q.  You’re really good friends with Donald Trump, how did you two become acquainted?

A.  It was the first show of the season and because of technical difficulties, he had to spend a lot of time with the models backstage before they could shoot the show.  So, he was in heaven!  Donald Trump is not as intimidating or scary as people might think.  Once you get to know him, you see his softer side. He’s a good guy with a big heart.  I like to meet people, I’m a very outgoing person, he’s so interesting.  I really enjoyed picking his brain and getting to know him. I enjoy spending time with him; there is a lot I can learn.  After the show we just stayed in touch, I admire and respect him. I grew up in a very small town and this is all so new to me.  To hang out with Donald Trump was quite an awe-inspiring moment for me.

Q.  What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A.  In my spare time I play sports, I love playing sports.  I hang out at the beach, I read books, I take acting classes.  I am always trying to learn new things so I am always educating myself.  I spend a lot of time with friends and family.  I love fine dining and trying new restaurants.  I go to the gym a lot, I am always conscious of my appearance and try to take good care of myself.  I go horse back riding; it’s really peaceful to me.  I love being outdoors.

Q.  Do you have a latest obsession?  Are you into any particular book, music group, sport or activity?

A.  I cannot walk by a shoe store without buying a pair of shoes, I’m obsessed.  I have so many shoes in my closet that I need a whole other closet to hold all of my shoes.  I love all of the new strappy sandals and I’m obsessed with shoes!
