Los Angeles, the city of Angels (and demons). It’s the place where people can go and relax and walk the streets of famous people while also catching glimpses of historic places and historic houses. All of this can happen when you take a tour bus around Los Angeles, but with a guide so boring you fall asleep maybe you should take a ride with the devil and that’s exactly what happened in Homewrecker. What could possibly go wrong?

When the episode starts, we see Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) sitting at the back of a tour bus taking in the sights of Los Angeles with a tour guide who was really boring to everyone on board. As the tour goes on, Lucifer and Amenadiel talk about how taking a tour is good so they can make LA home fully only to have Amenadiel tell Lucifer he was the only one that is making LA their home. When Lucifer has heard enough, he gets up and takes over the bus tour doing quite well and spilling secrets. Since he is distracted, he has missed Amenadiel jumping off the bus and walking away. This lead to Lucifer contacting Dr. Linda (Rachael Harris) to discuss Amenadiel. Dr. Linda asks why he wanted to make LA his home while also discussing Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) and how she and Amenadiel want to go back to the “Silver City.” Dr. Linda tells Lucifer LA is normally the place people move to in order to get away from their problems or they are looking for something asking which one he was.

When we get our first look at Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer she is yet again reprimanding him and telling him to get out of a chair at the victim’s house. They find Ella (Aimee Garcia) and Lucifer can tell that the victim was Dean Cooper, Los Angeles’ real estate tycoon who Lucifer described as a deeply unpleasant man. As they are examining the scene around Cooper, Chloe asks Ella if she found the cause of death resulting in Ella holding up a shard of glass that was embedded in his neck by a champagne flute.

Lucifer gets a text from Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) saying that there was a problem at LUX so he leaves much to the dislike of Chloe, who thinks it has to do with one of the girls that works there. When he arrives he is confused to find people inside in the club when it’s closed as a man named Eric Cooper (Nick Jandl), Dean Cooper’s son, asks Lucifer if he is the proprietor. Eric proceeds to tell Lucifer that he in fact own LUX now and that Lucifer is being evicted. When Lucifer tries to use his mojo to get what Eric truly wants, Eric tells Lucifer he wants his father to turn over in his grave. Lucifer says he’s not very close to his father either and that’s why he moved to LA. Eric and Lucifer go head to head leading to Eric saying if Lucifer doesn’t leave he will have him forcibly removed. Maze tells Lucifer that he would be attacking the wrong person and that this is his mother’s doing. Lucifer doesn’t believe it so Maze goes to Amenadiel to try and plead her case. Unfortunately, Amenadiel sides with Charlotte and Maze realizes that Charlotte is standing right behind her.

Back at the crime scene, Ella finally pieces together the bits of the champagne glass that were used to kill Dean Cooper. Dan (Kevin Alejandro) comes and gives Chloe all the info he gathered about Dean Cooper and she asks if he could help her out on the case. Sadly, he says he can’t yet. When he asks where Lucifer is, she explains there was an emergency at his club. Just then, she gets a cell phone calling from Lucifer saying Eric Cooper is the kill. r Chloe shoots it down for a few seconds before Ella tells Chloe that the prints she found on the glass belong to Eric Cooper. When Chloe meets Lucifer at the Cooper Building, he reveals that Eric Cooper is trying to take LUX away. Chloe tells him he can’t assault Eric Cooper so Lucifer promises, “That both the man’s feet will remain on the ground.” There is a yell and a man lands on the hood of a car. They turn to see that it’s Eric Cooper, alive but injured.

Lucifer complains that the man who is trying to take his home could have at least made a proper jump when Chloe makes him stop. His fiancée Christi (Chelsea Hobbs) asks if the handcuffs are necessary. Chloe informs her that that since Eric jumped it points to a guilty conscience while Lucifer starts to draw on Eric’s cast. Eric reveals that there was nothing left money wise and how he didn’t want to disappoint Christi. Lucifer says they could renegotiate their deal, but Eric tells him that it’s too late. Eric tells Lucifer that there is a new owner of LUX, Eleanor Bloom (Veena Sood) so Lucifer and Chloe go talk to her. Meanwhile, Charlotte confronts Kevin Burnick (Darcy Michael) in the men’s bathroom about a client named Patrick O’Neill (Victor Ayala) who she needs his help in order to get Lucifer to go back home with her. When he says he doesn’t discuss his client’s outside of the court room, Charlotte informs him in a very painful way that she is now Patrick’s lawyer.

When we see Chloe and Lucifer again they are talking to Eleanor Bloom who asks if they believe she had something to do with Dean Cooper’s death. Chloe informs her that not long after his death she closed on a deal that she had wanted for years. When Lucifer says that Cooper gave her “lady blue balls” for years she replies with she took Cooper’s favorite golf course and turned it into a landfill for medical waste supplies. Chloe asks if this whole back and forth was a giant prank war she says it was simply good business. When Bloom gives Chloe her alibi and starts to leave Lucifer steps in and says that he will make a deal to keep LUX. Unfortunately, Eleanor says she wants everything Dean Cooper had and to destroy it. Chloe steps in and stalls Bloom’s plans of tearing down LUX to build a mega mall and Bloom spills that Cooper was hiding money.

Dan is talking to Patrick about how he makes bombs, but he denies it and says he works at a pizza place. Charlotte walks in and tells Dan to take his hands off her client when Dan says she’s not his lawyer. Charlotte notes that the accused has the rights to be represented by whoever they choose and Patrick agrees to Charlotte being his lawyer. When Dan leaves, Charlotte informs Patrick she has paid his bail and that she takes payment in trade of asking him if he has ever brought down a building. She then tells him she needs him to bring down a night club for her. Back at LUX, movers are putting a cover over the piano when Lucifer comes in and yells at them to not touch it. When the movers say they don’t want trouble, Lucifer says they have no idea who they are dealing with which leads to a huge sit-in of sorts. A very upset Charlotte was going to blow the building up when she goes to talk to Lucifer. She does reverse psychology on him. Dr. Linda also shows up and Lucifer introduces her to Charlotte. When they start to talk Charlotte tries to get info out of Linda, but she refuses to tell Charlotte anything.

Chloe follows up on the missing money by talking to Simon Hallbrooks (Flex Alexander). She asks why Dean Cooper was giving him money off the books Simon reveals that his job is to make sure people can be trusted. Before they can continue, Dan opens the door to tell Chloe they got a call about a wild party at LUX. When she arrives, she tells the backup officers she can handle it. Chloe tells Lucifer to turn the music back on and when he does he asks if she is on his side now. She responds with, “Lucifer, this is your home. I’ve always been your side.” He pulls Chloe to him to make her dance with him.

Charlotte asks if Lucifer really loves LUX and Linda tells her yes, the place yet seems to be hinting at Chloe. Charlotte finally catches on. Lucifer asks what they are going to do to save LUX and Chloe says she can’t find another way to save it. Lucifer then proceeds to tell her about every sin that was committed in LUX, from the crack in the mirror where Ava Gardner threw a scotch glass at Frank Sinatra’s head to prohibition tunnels underneath. Chloe gets an idea on who to talk to and Lucifer says he can’t leave the club unattended. Chloe says that moving crew is passed out on the floors and the cops won’t be there for another day so she really needs his help.

When Amenadiel follows his mother, he finds her on a date with none other than Dan. Maze says she didn’t see that one coming. Meanwhile, Chloe and Lucifer find Simon and locate the payments from Dean Cooper started when Eric got engaged to Christi. It seems he didn’t trust Christi and he found that she turned him down. So, Cooper was blackmailing Christi and that is why Dean Cooper was killed. When we see Charlotte and Dan again they are talking about how they have had bad breakups. Dan reveals that Lucifer has a thing for Chloe and when Charlotte kisses Dan that is when Amenadiel starts acting like the son he is and downs his drink. Charlotte takes Dan home and they sleep together. She then calls Patrick and tells him she needs a small charge for one person.

As the episode ends, Lucifer and Chloe come back to Eric and Christi’s house. They talk to Eric who says Christi was out picking out a venue for the wedding. When she comes in the room, she says she thought Eric was clear. Lucifer explains he is because they know she killed Dean Cooper because he was blackmailing her. Eric then says he did it because his father showed him what he found and also killed his father. That’s when Christi jumps in and say she did it.

Lucifer is once again at LUX when Chloe comes in and gives him papers saying LUX is historically protected from being torn down. As a thank you, he offers to take her to dinner to celebrate. This leads to another talk with Dr. Linda who asks why she’s the only human who knows who he really is and saying he could show Chloe his face but he won’t. Dr. Linda goes on to say that maybe he found what he was looking for. This admission leads to Chloe being alone at the restaurant and Lucifer sitting alone looking broken. When she leaves, the camera pans down to show a bomb under Chloe’s car and Charlotte standing in the alley ready to push the button.
