Sun, fun and money trades? In the fight to get back to Heaven, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) goes above and beyond the call as she meets with one of her clients Zeke Moore (Clayton Cannon) who says he has what they need to make the sword work. Lucifer (Tom Ellis) oversees the trade deal from a distance when Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) shows up telling Lucifer he is afraid he is in danger. Amenadiel tells Lucifer that Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) is really angry at him, but Lucifer laughs it off saying that anger is Maze’s default. Amenadiel pushes on saying that it’s different this time and that he should really talk to her. Lucifer tells Amenadiel they have bigger problems like the fact Charlotte may be getting screwed over. Amenadiel stops Lucifer from going over to the table telling him that she seems to be doing just fine. They watch as Charlotte puts the briefcase full of money on the table and then closes it and hands it off to Zeke. It’s at this moment the brothers decide to go over and confront Charlotte who tells them that he has what they need in the safe and that Zeke went to go get it. Lucifer tells her that she’s just been conned to which Charlotte tells him that her client wouldn’t do that. They go to the back room where they discover that Charlotte’s client is dead and someone had taken the cash from him

Maze walks into Linda’s (Rachael Harris) office to find her speaking to a man who Maze considers a threat as she pulls out her knives asking if everything is okay and only putting the knives away when Linda assures her it is. Once the man is gone, Maze asks Linda who he was and Linda explains that he is the Chairmen of the Ethics Review Board. Maze asks Linda if she’s okay and when Linda tells Maze she’s not, Maze once again pulls out her knives ready to go after him. Linda stops her telling her that it wouldn’t do any good. Linda tells Maze that a couple of weeks ago she helped Lucifer break out of a mental institution using her own name and that it was her fault. Maze tells her that it’s Lucifer’s fault and that it’s always his fault – finding out that first he’s ditching her to go to Heaven and now he’s hurting Linda.

A slow day at the station means paperwork for Chloe (Lauren German) who is staring at her computer while Lucifer; who is acting like a five-year-old, is sitting across from her making the chair go up and down. Lucifer tells Chloe that he should get his own desk right next to hers, at this Chloe asks why Lucifer is hovering over her. He tells her that he’s not and that he’s just spending time with his partner, giving Chloe the idea of pushing a stack of paperwork over to him telling him that she could get used to this. Before they could go any further Charlotte comes arrives needing to talk to Chloe. Charlotte tells Chloe that a client of hers called and sounded really worried telling Chloe she’s afraid he’s in danger. Charlotte begs Chloe to come down to the bar with her to check on him, but Chloe tells Charlotte that she’s a homicide detective and that she does not have time to babysit criminals. Lucifer steps behind Chloe and looks straight at Charlotte. She starts acting out what she needs to tell Chloe to get her to go to the bar. Once Chloe gets the info she asks Charlotte why she didn’t just lead with it. The trio show up to the bar and find that Charlotte’s client is indeed dead.

Chloe questions Charlotte as to why she was representing Zeke to which Charlotte states that Zeke works for Bianca Ruiz (Carolina Gomez) who uses her tequila magnet status as a front to sell guns, drugs and people while telling Lucifer that the police have been after Bianca for a while. Charlotte asks Chloe who could have killed Zeke when Chloe turns and asks Ella (Aimee Garcia) what they have; Ella informs them that Zeke was shot twice and that it looks like the basic “bad guy stuff” was stolen and there was no sign of forced entry. Ella finds a cellphone underneath the safe that seemed to belong to the killer which is password protected but the screensaver showed a logo. Dan (Kevin Alejandro) is going through Bianca’s file when Charlotte walks up to him wanting to have sex at the station to pass the time. Before they can go any further in their discussion they hear music coming from Ella’s office. Once everyone is gathered around, Ella explains that the symbol on the phone they found belongs to a record label that belongs to Chet Ruiz (Kade Wise), Bianca’s youngest son. Charlotte informs everyone that Bianca keeps Chet far away from the family business and that Bianca is having a party to launch her newest tequila and that she’s invited. Charlotte tells them that she and Dan should go undercover to the dismay of others in the room until Chloe puts an end to it saying she’ll go with Charlotte.

Lucifer is very upset when he walks into Linda’s office only stopping his rant when he sees Maze sitting behind the desk. Lucifer asks Maze where Linda is causing Maze to stand up and say that Linda was suspended because of him and he’s going to go fix it right now with her. Dan notices Amenadiel looking around when he goes up to him asking if he’s looking for Lucifer. Amenadiel tells him that he’s also looking for Charlotte. Dan tells him that they left to which Amenadiel says it’s no surprise and with a brother like Lucifer it’s not shocking that he wasn’t informed. Meanwhile, Charlotte arrives at Bianca’s party asking the check in lady if she’s seen her plus one when Chloe arrives looking anything less than hot. Chloe tells Charlotte that she’s still not sure why Charlotte is helping them when Bianca is her client. Charlotte tells Chloe that she’s not the same woman she was when Bianca first hired her. Chloe asks Charlotte if she’s had a change of heart to which Charlotte says, “No, same heart. Completely different soul though.” Chloe spots Chet across the room telling Charlotte that she’s going to go talk to him.

Lucifer and Maze meet with Nigel (Jon Sklaroff) telling him that Linda is a great doctor and that he can’t just suspend her. Nigel informs them that Linda, unfortunately, brought the suspension on herself and he can’t really help them. Maze tells Nigel about all the good Linda has done using Lucifer as an example. She tells Nigel that Lucifer is the worst patient that anyone could have and proceeds to list all his negative qualities telling him that the point is Linda went out of her way to help Lucifer. Lucifer tells Nigel that Linda has seen a side of him that he always hides because it’s terrifying and that Linda has accepted it and helped him out all the more. Nigel thanks them for their testimonies and tells them that he will add them to the notes, but that unless they can provide any more evidence…This causes Lucifer to put his foot in his mouth listing off examples of how generous Linda truly is by mentioning that he and Linda have slept together. Maze is getting angrier by the minute when she finally just gets up and pulls Lucifer out of the office.

Charlotte goes up to Bianca telling her that the police expect Chet of murder. Bianca tells Charlotte that she will get to the bottom of it. Charlotte watches as Bianca goes over to Chet asking him what he was thinking. Chet tells Bianca that he found out Zeke was building up his own business and smuggling out rare artifacts on the side to which Bianca tells him that she was making thirty percent of the profit. Chet tells his mother that he would know this if she would just let him in on what’s happening. Bianca asks Chet how the police know it was him who killed Zeke and he explains to her that he may have dropped his phone at the crime scene. Chloe is overhearing the conversation while they talked when Bianca finds her and confronts her.

Dan and Amenadiel are having lunch together discussing improv and how it helped Dan regain himself. Dan tells Amenadiel that he stopped defining himself by other people and that causes Amenadiel to admit that no matter what he does or how hard Lucifer screws up he will always be the favorite. Bianca asks Chloe who she is and why she’s at the party, telling her that she knows everyone at the party except her. As Charlotte watches Chloe is quick to respond that she loves Chet’s music getting into full fangirl mode telling Chet about her love for his work. Bianca says that she sees the reports and that no one listens to his musi., Chloe tells everyone that she totally listens to it and to further prove she’s a fangirl she starts rapping some of Chet’s music.

Lucifer and Maze leave the Nigel’s office when Maze punches Lucifer in the gut telling him that he just made everything worse for Linda. She tells him to just leave because that was his plan all along to which Lucifer asks if that’s her problem that Amenadiel told her the plans. Maze gets defensive of Amenadiel and tells Lucifer to not blame him when she kicks him in the manly region. Lucifer can’t get a word in before Maze is punching him in the face. He tells Maze to stop hitting him and he’ll explain. The punching stops until Lucifer tells her that she tends to get too emotional about this stuff resulting in Maze decking Lucifer yet again. At this, Lucifer’s eyes shine red as he tells her to tread lightly. When Maze tells Lucifer that he’s just like his parents all bets are off and there is an epic Devil vs Demon smack down in the middle of the city square. Finally, they take a time out to catch their breaths as Lucifer tells Maze he had no idea she was this mad at him; a very defeated Maze tells him that she was this angry because he was going to leave her. Lucifer informs her that he would never do that to her, but he needed her to believe he was to sell his story and that the fight was for nothing except when Maze says that makes it even worse.

Bianca comes to Charlotte with a deal, she gets Chet’s phone back from the police and Bianca will give her the artifact they were smuggling. Ella is trying to crack the code on Chet’s phone when Charlotte shows up telling her they’ve not had a chance to meet. When she tries to hug Charlotte, Ella is held away by the old hand to the forehead gag. Ella tells Charlotte that when she looks at her she sees a light to which Charlotte responds, “Did my bandage come undone?” Chloe comes in as Charlotte goes to leave with Chet’s phone telling her to talk. Charlotte goes to Bianca with Chet’s phone as Chloe and Lucifer listen from a parked van outside. Charlotte’s microphone is compromised which causes the cops to come storming in arresting Bianca. The key which Zeke smuggled for her was a book that only Amenadiel could read. When Charlotte meets with Chet he ends up stabbing her causing light to shoot out and burn Chet alive. The book Amenadiel translates talks about a key that God gifted to his favorite son. The key that Amenadiel currently has around his neck.
