Marianne Jean Baptiste – Without A Trace

Q) What are the recent projects that you have been working on?

A) At the beginning of the year, I did a small budget independent film with director Craig Serling. The film is called Jam and we are trying to find a home for it; however, more recently, I have been working with a charity called Maternal Fetal Care International and just got back from a trip with them to Nairobi, Kenya.

Q) What’s new this season on “Without a Trace?”

A) On the show this year there are a few surprises which, of course, I have been forbidden to speak about! Sorry!

Q) What made you originally want to be a part of the show?

A) Originally, I was attracted to the show because it was about finding a missing person and following clues to reach them, as opposed to finding a dead body and them chasing a criminal. “Without A Trace” had more of a psychological edge that appealed to me.

Q) What is challenging for you about your role as an FBI agent?

A) One of the challenges of playing an FBI agent is trying to be as convincing as possible and stay true to the character, basically, to keep the audience believing in and caring about the character.

Q) What is your most memorable moment from filming the show?

A) My most memorable moment from the show is when Charles S. Dutton is reunited with his son after his son went missing for four years. It was extremely well acted.

Q) Why should viewers be tuning in to the “Without A Trace?”

A) I think viewers should turn on to “Without A Trace” because it is a show filled with hope. You sit watching, knowing that every clue is leading you to an answer, though not always a positive one, but you remain hopeful throughout the show.

Q) You’ve done acting and writing/composing. Is there anything else you want to try your hand at?

A) Ultimately, I’d like to direct and produce.

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) Read, read, read and then read some more!

Q) What is your latest obsession? A book? A sport? A movie? An activity?

A) My latest obsession is “Heroes!” It’s great!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) Thank you for sticking with the show and moving to Sunday night with us. I hope we continue to turn out quality shows for you.
