Q) How would you best describe your sound?

A) Country, alt-country, folk, and Americana

Q) Who are your Top 3 musical influences?

A) The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt and Ray LaMontagne

Q) Tell us a little bit about your current single “Gonna Feel It Again.”

A) I wrote this during the lockdown, and like everyone else was feeling the ups and downs of the world. The phrase “you’re gonna feel it again” kept coming to mind, a reminder that all things pass, and that the good times would come back around. You also did a music video for “Gonna Feel It Again.”

Q) How did you come up with the concept for the video?

A) This was really fun to make, I collaborated on this with my friend Paul Buchholz. This song to me is about cycles, pushing through the dark and getting to the light. Healing and being reborn.  There are so many manifestations of this around us in this world.  I tried to capture that in this video.

Q) “Gonna Feel It Again” is the first of five new songs coming this year. What can fans expect from the upcoming releases?

A) I think the songs I’m releasing this year feel really true to me. I wrote what I was feeling and hoping for and going through during this past year.

Q) “Gonna Feel It Again” was also written during lockdown. How did writing music help you get you through that time?

A) It gave me structure and it was very therapeutic. I think creating on any level or form is very beneficial, and especially going beyond the mind and creating from the heart and soul does wonders.

Q) Earlier in the year you covered Kenny Rogers’s “The Gambler” and Bread’s “If,” which are favorites of mine! If you were to do an album of covers, what other songs would you consider covering?

A) Right now I’ve been really digging Devon Gilfillian’s “The Good Life,” which would be so fun to sing or any Sturgill Simpson tune.

Q) What do you consider more difficult: performing your own original music or covering someone else’s song?

A) I think it’s the same for me-trying to always honor the song as well as give an authentic performance.

Q) When you have toured the US, you had the chance to do so with acts such as Train, Kenny Loggins, Counting Crows and Gavin DeGraw. What has been the biggest takeaway from touring with them that you have applied to your own career now?

A) Watching artists in the “flow” is truly what being an artist is about. We all know that feeling and is why I think we all perform to some degree. Seeing it on such a high level is so inspiring.

Q) With the release of the new music, is there a tour in the works?

A) There are shows, but no tour yet. I think we’re waiting to see what’s going on with this delta variant – it’s raining on my parade!

Q) Which venue has been your favorite to perform at and why?

A) Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. Awesome fans, fantastic food and vibe….so fun!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters of your music?

A) Thank you so much for listening and supporting. I hope my music makes you feel good. [smiles]
