Q) Has Catherine had time to process her husband’s death and what it means for her?

A) No.

Q) So, how is it going to be for her going forward? Is it a little easier for her now that he’s gone?

A) Catherine is not someone who stays in the past. I think, first and foremost, she’s a survivor and she has to immediately move onto the next source that’s going to secure her power and safety, which will be her children. That’s my feeling.

Q) How does she deal with something like a plague? You can’t negotiate with like a plague.

A) No, that’s why that’s fascinating because it’s not controllable. It’s bigger and it’s scarier, there’s not some one [person] to condemn or condone for a behavior.

Q) Does it kind of unify her with everybody or does she still have a private agenda?

A) I think there’s always a private agenda, but there’s a greater good that has to be served and saved. And she’s always about that as well.
