Mia Rose Frampton – Tammy

By  |

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working in?

A) Right now, I am getting ready to go to college like most teens my age. I’ll be attending Chapman University in the Fall. It’s perfect because it is close to Los Angeles so I can still audition and pursue my dream while having the college experience!

Q) What can you tease about your role in the new film Tammy?

A) Well, I can’t give away much, but I can say that the character I play is the complete opposite of myself! I got to get physical with Melissa [McCarthy] in a scene! It was unlike anything I have ever done!

Q) What made you want to be a part of this project?

A) Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a project with such a talented cast and crew? I honestly felt so honored to be a part of this film. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, as well as open to collaboration. To any actor, that’s a dream come true!

Q) Is there anything you added to the role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) The cool thing was I got to wear a piece from my own wardrobe. I had brought this really right and short crop top that I thought fit my character perfectly and I was so happy I got to wear it! Wearing it helped me get into character.

Q) Has comedic timing come naturally to you or is it something that you have studied?

A) I took a summer course at Second City in Los Angeles and I instantly fell in love with improv. I loved how spontaneous it was and I loved the feeling of having no boundaries. I’m glad that people think that me just doing something I love is funny! Especially Melissa!

Q) What was your most memorable moment from filming?

A) I remember on set there was this giant stuffed bear wearing this fishing outfit. Melissa and I were taking selfies with it in between takes. We pretended it was actually alive and was going to eat us…after it went fishing, of course. It was so funny!

Q) What was it like working with director Ben Falcone and what was some of the advice and guidance he gave you?

A) It was such an amazing experience working with Ben. He’s one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with in my career. When I got the role, he even called me to congratulate me and welcome me! On set, he told me to not hold back and to take it as far as I wanted to. It was also so much fun and so inspiring to improvise with Melissa and the icon that is Susan Sarandon.

Q) Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you’ll be getting through social media?

A) Of course! I just started getting into Twitter and I know…I need to get a professional Instagram!

Q) Why should audiences take the time to head to theaters to watch Tammy?

A) Well, you’d be crazy no to see the queen of comedy, Melissa McCarthy and Oscar award winning actress Susan Sarandon embark on the journey of a lifetime together. As well as see me along the way!

Q) What would you like to say to fans about their support?

A) I’m just honored to be doing what I love and to have people who support me along the way! I feel so lucky to have them!
