This week in “Midnight Texas” there’s a new evil in town disguised as a gorgeous woman. At the start of the episode, we see a very cocky gentleman in a vintage Caddy telling someone on the phone that he did not pawn his daddy’s Rolex. All the while, he’s counting his money from the Midnight Pawn Shop. You had to know he was lying, right? He spots a beautiful, half dressed maiden (Taylor Black) on the side of the road, sitting all alone. The first clue to this guy to not stop should have been she’s in the middle of nowhere not a car in sight. We’re guessing he’s a little desperate and a lot full of himself.

Mr. Smooth, a/k/a Ted (Kenneth Miller), pulls over and asks the pretty young Miranda Lambert look-a-like if she’d like a ride. He’s laying it on thick, even buckling her up. She tells him she was drawn to Texas. The energy there makes her feel better than she’s felt in a long time. Did we mention that Ted has his shirt totally unbuttoned? Maybe it’s hot? She tells him the land is ancient and powerful and makes her feel things. Ted asks her what kind of things. She tells him to pull over and she’ll show him. Once again this show has shown us not to pick up hitchhikers. While making out with the beautiful stranger, Ted hears a panthers growl and then we see blood splatter on the window. Ew.

Manfred (Francois Arnaud) and Creek (Sarah Ramos) are enjoying a nice shower. Creek asks Manfred about a bullet hole scar and he tells her that his grandma ran a scam and the guy got mad. Creek asks Manfred if the guy is going to get mad and shoot him again. Manfred tells her that he’s working on paying the debt off. Creek says that it’s good because she’d hate for her dad to be right about him. Manfred is confused and asks her what she’s talking about. Creek tells him that her dad thinks he’s scum that’s going to break her heart. Online psychic, RV, the whole dog and pony show. Manfred tells Creek that looks can be deceiving. Creek tells Manfred that she doesn’t care. She’s using him for his body.

Manfred has a half a dozen missed calls and voicemails from Hightower. Sounds like he’s getting closer to Manfred’s location. Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley) goes to see Bobo (Dylan Bruce) and he tells her that he knows it was Lowry (Evan Jones) that killed the Sheriff. Fiji tells Bobo that they will find Lowry. Bobo tells her he knows where they hang out. Fiji tells him to stay away from them. They risked their lives to get him out and he will stay out of it. Bobo tells her that she’s right, he wasn’t thinking straight. Fiji asks Bobo if he’d like to come over for dinner that evening and, of course, he says yes.

A woman (Beth Bailey) comes into the pawn shop asking if a guy came in recently to pawn a Rolex. Bobo asks her if he drove a vintage red Caddy. Bobo shows the woman the Rolex. The woman tells him the man is her brother and asks him if he happened to tell him where he was going. Bobo tells her that he didn’t say, but he knows someone that can help him. Manfred is in his RV popping pills talking to his Grandma Xylda (Joanne Camp). He tells her that he doesn’t think that moving to Midnight was a smart play. He needs to make some serious money. He tells her that his A-List clients are not going to drive five hours to chat with him in a crappy RV. Xylda tells him that she has a feeling his luck is about to change.

Manfred hears a knock on his door. It’s Ted’s sister. She tells Manfred that she needs to find her brother and if he finds him she’ll pay him five grand. Fiji is at Olivia’s (Arielle Kebbel) while she’s packing for a job. She asks Olivia if she wants to come over for dinner. Olivia tells her that she needs to get on that, not invite over a third wheel. Olivia also tells her not to wear her peasant skirts. Olivia goes over and opens a secret compartment in the wall to the best closet we’ve ever seen. She gives Fiji a little black dress and a pair of heels to wear for her dinner date.

Ted’s sister tells Manfred that her brother only comes around when he wants money. Manfred tells her that he needs something personal of Ted’s to link to him.  As soon as he has it, Ted appears. Dead, of course. Ted starts talking to Patsy. Ted tells Manfred about the “hot blonde” that he picked up at the rest stop. The hot blonde is now at a new rest stop with her next victim. She wants to party with him first before taking care of her broke down car. He didn’t stand a chance. Olivia is in El Paso on a job and notices a man following her. She ignores him for now and gets to work.

A man is in an elevator when it stops. Olivia in a black wig drops down into the elevator through the top and pulls out a knife. The man tells her to go ahead and take his wallet. Olivia tells him that she’s already been paid for this. Olivia says that he embezzled 401k’s, college funds and pensions and ruined people’s lives. The man tells her it’s just money. Olivia says it’s just money because he has some. Olivia tells him to her client it was a house, a marriage, medical treatment and he destroyed a family because he thought he could cheat. Olivia tells him the world is a better place without some people and he’s one of those people. She gives him a pill to take then comes out of a different door in a different wig when people discover the dead man in the elevator.

Manfred is in a strip club telling the bouncer he’s looking for a “hot blonde.” Someone yells: “Who isn’t buddy?” The bouncer was absolutely no help and when Manfred leaves it’s clear that he’s being followed. Can we point out that the name of the strip club is “Boobie Trap.” How classic is that? Olivia leaves the office building and sees the same guy that was following her in his car still keeping tabs. She surprises him by coming up next to his window. Olivia asks him why he’s following her and when he won’t answer she injects him with something.

Bobo calls Fiji to tell her that after he changes he’ll be over. When Bobo gets home, his house has been ransacked and there is a swastika painted on his bedroom wall. He runs outside and checks a locked door in the ground underneath a car. It’s still locked, but now we want to know what’s in there. Lemuel (Peter Mensah) is at work when Olivia pulls up outside. He goes outside to greet her and she asks him to get her stuff from the trunk. Lem sees the man inside and tells her that he sees she’s brought her work home.

Manfred finds the rest stop with the vintage red Caddy and the new guys green Dodge. He sees blood all over the front seat of the Caddy and starts to check the trunk when he hears someone singing in the bathroom. He goes into the bathroom and sees the blonde at the sink. She turns around and tells him that he’s been very naughty, she can feel it. Manfred tells her that she’s not his type. Hot blonde goes after him and Manfred hits her in the stomach with his baseball bat then runs out the bathroom door. He puts the bat through the handle to hold her for at least a minute. He gets to the RV and gets out of there before she can catch him.

Fiji realizes she’s been stood up or rather her talking cat realizes it for her. Bobo calls her and tells her he has to cancel. Before Fiji can get too upset she gets a knock at the door. It’s Manfred who tells her he needs her help. They go to the restaurant to get the help of Joe (Jason Lewis), Lem, Chuy (Bernardo Saracino) and Creek. Joe is drawing a picture of what Manfred saw. Manfred tells Joe that he was eating people. Lem tells them that it sounds like a succubus and they’re rare. He hasn’t seen or heard of one in a long while. Lem says they only feed on men that cause pain. Chuy says he wonders why she came after Manfred. Creek wants the answer to that question, too.

Lem wonders why a succubus would show up now acting so recklessly. Creek sees her brother show up in the restaurant. She goes out to ask him what he’s doing there. Connor (John-Paul Howard) tells her that it’s dinner time and he’s hungry. Creek tells him that he needs to go home. Connor says that he knows she likes Manfred but she doesn’t know who he really is. He proceeds to tell her that he followed him today and about the strip club. Creek tells Connor that Manfred was looking for someone. She says that she’s not worried and he needs to order something to go and get home.

Joe says that the succubus is leaving a trail of bodies. Lem says that bodies will bring the law back to Midnight and they can’t have that. Chuy says they need to stop her. Manfred asks them how they do that. Joe tells them according to medieval folklore, dragons breath. Manfred asks short of finding a dragon how they stop a succubus and Fiji says that she thinks she knows. Olivia missed out on the meeting because she’s in her apartment waterboarding her prisoner. His name is Ross Wheeler (Eli Goodman) and he still won’t tell her why he’s following her. Finally, when he’s had enough water in his face he tells her it was her father.

Fiji makes a potion that will remove the succubus’s glamour so she can’t seduce anyone. They figure if she’s trolling for guys she’ll be at the bar since it’s ladies night. Ross asks Olivia to let him sit up because his back hurts. She tells him she’s not sure if she’s going to let him live so she doesn’t really care about his back. Olivia asks him why her dad hired him. Ross tells her that her dad just wants to make sure that she’s okay. She left and won’t return his calls. Lem comes in and asks how everything is going. Olivia leaves the room in tears and asks Lem if he minds and he takes the pain away for her.

Lem asks Olivia if she wants to go to Cartoon Saloon with him for ladies night. After a weird look, she agrees. Once at the bar, Manfred tells them they need to split up and blend in. Lem says sure, blend in. We’re not sure Lem could blend in anywhere, but that’s why we love him! Fiji sees Bobo heading for the back room and can’t believe her eyes. Once in Bobo tells them he wants to talk to Peter Lowry. The man asks him if he enjoyed his remodel to which he was met with a headbutt. Bobo tells him that he just wants to be left alone. The man tells Bobo that he makes him sick. He’s a traitor. To his family, wait what? Did Bobo use to be one of these guys? The guy also says Bobo is a traitor to his race and he has no pride.

Bobo decks him and breaks a pool stick and starts to stab him. Suddenly, the pool stick flies out of his hand. Fiji is in the doorway and tells him they need to leave. Bobo tells the gang that if they step foot in Midnight again, he’ll kill them. Bobo tells Fiji that he’s sorry. Fiji tells him that him coming down there by himself was just dumb. Bobo tells her that it means a lot that she came after him and tells her how pretty she looks tonight. Fiji has to tell him that she didn’t come after him. She tells him that she came with everyone to find some hot blonde that’s been killing men.

Manfred thinks he sees the hot blond talking to a man but it’s not her. Her boyfriend isn’t very excited but Manfred bullshit’s his way out of it. Olivia has some kickass line dancing skills. That girl is getting it on the dance floor. Chuy is upset that Joe exposed himself while he was out of town. He’s afraid someone is going to find them. The bartender asks Lem what he’s drinking. Lem tells him that he gave it up a while back. He indulges for special occasions, but it’s a slippery slope for him. The bartender tells him to twelve step it over to a meeting. Lem sees the bartender’s vein pulsing. See the bartender was talking about booze, Lem was talking about blood.

Creek sees Connor walk in the bar. She goes over and tells the bouncer not to let him in because he’s only seventeen years old. While in the parking lot yelling at him she sees the succubus talking to a cowboy at his truck. Creek sends Manfred a text message and waits for the opportunity to spray her with Fiji’s potion. The solution has to go into the succubus’s mouth to work. When she has her opening she sprays her and it starts to work. Lem is the first outside and puts the cowboy in his truck and tells him to leave. The rest of the gang race outside and Joe says that they need to get her out of there. Lem puts her over his shoulder and races off with her.

Everyone else arrives in the RV, while the succubus is still choking from whatever is in the concoction Fiji made. Connor is watching from a tree in the woods because he didn’t listen to his sister and followed them – again. Manfred asks if what’s going on is normal. Fiji says that transformations are always painful. The succubus turns into something very ugly (V Nixie) and asks Fiji what she’s done to her. Lem says they had no choice. Supernatural lay low there and the hunting of humans will not be tolerated. She starts to go after Lem and he throws her against a tree. Manfred asks if she’s dead, but she’s not. She crawls away and then they hear Connor calling for help.

The succubus is after Connor. Manfred tells Creek to keep looking, he’s going to the RV.  Manfred apparently has an idea. They catch up to the succubus and she has a hold of Connor. Creek begs her not to hurt him and she tells him that he deserves it, they all do. Lem tells her that he knows what she’s going through, maybe he can help. Manfred comes back with a propane tank. He tells Lem to grab Connor then blasts the succubus with the fire. He tells them it’s the closest thing to dragon’s breath he could find. Olivia says: “literally a hot mess.”

Olivia goes back to Ross and wonders what she’s going to do with him. Olivia tells Lem to take care of him. Olivia tells Ross that she’s not going to kill the messenger this time. Lem tells Ross that Olivia is feeling generous tonight. Olivia tells Ross that his employer wasn’t there for her when she was a kid. He left her with his wife, who was a drunk and a junkie. When she ran out of money she whored Olivia out to men. Olivia tells Ross that her dad didn’t care about her then so he doesn’t get to care about her now. Olivia tells Ross to tell his employer that if he sends anyone else they’ll die.

Lem tells Olivia that he fetched top dollar in his day, too. Olivia tells him they have so much in common. Lem tells Olivia that he’s sorry for what they did to her. Olivia tells Lem that he saved her. Lem asks her what happened to the other guys. Olivia says that they’re all dead. Creek brings Connor a milkshake and asks him what he’s thinking. Connor says he’s thinking about how that succubus scared the crap out of him. Creek tells him it serves him right for following her. Chuy tells Joe that the succubus’s hunger was unstoppable. Chuy says it’s happening…the veil is affecting supernaturals.

Chuy asks Joe what if they can’t fight the pool, what if he can’t? Okay, have to stop here. Chuy has powers too? This is a news flash! Joe goes over to Chuy and tells him they have plenty of time to be scared, they’re safe for right now. Joe tells him they’ll just worry about tonight for right now. Manfred tells Patsy that he’s sorry about her brother. She thanks him for his help in finding Ted’s body. Creek stops by to thank him for saving her brother. Really thank him. Manfred drags Creek inside so no one sees them together. They’re still keeping things on the down-low so her dad doesn’t find out.

Bobo goes to thank Fiji again for always being there for him. She tells him that he’s her best friend, of course, she’ll always be there. Bobo asks Fiji if friendship is all she wants this to be. Fiji just kind of stares at him not knowing what to say. Bobo tells her that he thinks his life has been better since she’s been in it and he wonders if he should – he couldn’t finish that sentence. They kissed! It finally happened! The Boji ship is happening. Not sure if that’s the right ship name but it’s what we’re going with for now!
