The second half of the two part premiere opens not long after the first part left off, with a brief intermission to separate the two parts. At night in a crowded park, Scott Knowles (Brian Stokes Mitchell) brings the money to the drop point and waits for further instructions. A man on a bike rides up to him and delivers a seemingly empty bag to him. Confused, he opens the bag and finds an fsociety mask inside. He receives a phone call that tells him to put on the mask and burn the money. He complies and a crowd gathers to watch the money burn. Phillip Price (Michael Cristofer) meets with DC officials to discuss the hack and they encourage him to resign. He convinces them to let him stay. Joanna Wellick (Stephanie Corneliussen) is seen engaging in an affair with a mysterious man despite the whereabouts of her husband Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallstrom) are still unknown.

Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) goes about his new routine and watches another pickup basketball game. A man with a dog walks up to him and introduces himself as Ray (Craig Robinson). Ray mentions his proficiency with computers, but Elliot says he doesn’t do that anymore and brushes him off quickly. Mr. Robot encourages him to listen to him, but Elliot continues his attempts to ignore him. Joanna’s lover watches coverage of the hack while talking to Joanna in the bathroom. An agent interrupts the conversation, investigating Tyrell’s disappearance.

Angela Moss (Portia Doubleday) is now the PR manager of Evil Corp and is on the phone planning the PR strategy for the very public money burning. Angela negotiates with Bloomberg about handling coverage of the aftermath of the hack as well as the minimizing discussion of the on-air suicide of the previous PR manager that occurred at the end of last season. Meanwhile, Joanna finds a mysterious package on her doorstep and opens it to find a box with a cell phone taped to the bottom. At a bar, Angela sits while waiting for Antara Nayar (Sakina Jaffrey), the lawyer that assisted her with her case against Evil Corp last season. Nayar pleads with her to leave Evil Corp, but Angela stays firm in her decision.

Elliot meets Ray again and is surprised at how friendly Ray is towards them considering their last meeting. Panic sets in when Ray mentions that they spoke on the phone the previous night and Elliot has no memory of it. Upon looking at his journal, Elliot realizes that there is a gap in his consciousness. Mr. Robot appears and tells Elliot that people are able to see him when Elliot confronts him. Elliot responds by breaking down and laughing. Mr. Robot puts a gun to Elliot’s head once again and Elliot asks him to tell him where Tyrell Wellick is, but Mr. Robot doesn’t give him an answer.

A strange man comes up to Gideon (Michel Gill) as he is sitting at a bar, asking him about his position at AllSafe as well as his divorce. The man shoots Gideon at the bar and leaves him there. As Joanna is tending to her baby, she gets a phone from an unknown caller which goes to voicemail.
