Interviews

Noah Matthews – True Blood

By  |

Q) What are the recent projects that you have been working on?

A) Since we had such a big project this year with “True Blood,” we would be shooting three to four episodes at once. We kind of put all my focus on the show this year and now we’re going forward with interviews and meetings.

Q) What was your last day on set like for you?

A) The last day on set was an emotional one because it was the last one for the season. It was cool to see everyone and we had some inside jokes that were taking place at the end. It was fun!

Q) What can you tease is in store for Adilyn and Wade in the last few episodes?

A) I can’t say too much, due to the nature of the show. It definitely gets intense with what happens with Violet (Karolina Wydra). Luckily, we have some people in the cast that might be able to help us out.

Q) There is great chemistry between you and Bailey Noble, who plays Adilyn. Did it come naturally between the two of you or did it take some time for you to bond?

A) Bailey came in on my second season working on the show. We were all really excited to start working with her. It kind of started in that season where were all excited to be coming back as series regulars. So, we just kind of all started bonding between Aaron Howells who plays Rocky on the show and Bailey. All of us coming back as series regulars was just a cool experience for us.

Q) Did you take any mementos home from the set?

A) On my fridge, I have the back of the chair that had my name on it from the set. It is held up kind of like a kid’s finger painting, but it’s the back of my chair. I’m pretty proud of it. We had a prop request, but the only thing I could think of was pretty large so I didn’t know how I was going to fit it into my place. I can’t say what it was though because it’d be a spoiler, but you’ll definitely know when you see it.

Q) What have been some of your most memorable moments from filming the show?

A) Honestly, it’s in between takes just having conversations with the cast and bonding with them; getting to know them and talking to the people behind the characters. It was really cool getting to know my castmates.

Q) Who were you looking forward to having more scenes with this season or had hoped to work with, but never had the chance?

A) I was really hoping to work more with Joe Manganiello, but Alcide met an untimely demise. I really wanted to work with him because it was cool to work with him in the funeral scene and getting to know him off camera. And I think I got to meet everyone else, pretty much. Some of the guest stars were really cool to meet. For the most part, I got to meet everyone in the cast, which was really fun.

Q) What do you hope the legacy is for the show?

A) I think it is going on right now. You can see it at Comic Con how everyone went crazy. I think it is awesome and I think everyone will be really happy with the resolution of the show. I think everybody is going to really love it.

Q) Was there a particular scene that you noted at the table read for season seven that you really thought would stand out for fans?

A) I think in all honesty some of the scenes that I can’t talk about, the scenes that really give the fans resolution and tie up storylines. Those will be exciting and cool for them to  see.

Q) You are a part of social networking sites. What is it like getting instant fan feedback when the episodes premiere?

A) It is really cool to see on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram what everyone is saying. I’m a nerd so I totally read all of that stuff. And I check it out live during the show. It’s really cool to see the positive feedback Everyone seems to be liking everything, which is awesome.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I totally appreciate the support and I’m excited for you to see what is coming out the rest of the season!
