In the two part season finale, good vs evil takes on a new meaning as the focus is on the evil within. The question becomes, is the Evil Queen gone for good? And what new evil will emerge?

The first episode Only You begins as Regina (Lana Parrilla) sits at a booth at Granny’s mourning Robin. Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas) enter with Zelena (Rebecca Mader) and offer their condolences. Zelena knows how her sister feels. Even though what happened with Hades isn’t the same, she lost a love, too.

Violet (Olivia Steele Falconer), the young girl from Camelot, tells Henry (Jared Gilmore) she’s sorry about Robin.

Emma (Jennifer Morrison) thinks it’s a good idea that Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) wait outside while she goes into Granny’s and talks with Regina alone.

Meanwhile, since her father refused to help wake Belle, Gold (Robert Carlyle) realizes he needs more magic. Good thing he has the Olympian Crystal and can use it to siphon Storybrooke’s magic.

Regina assures Emma that even though Robin (Sean Maguire) is gone, so is The Evil Queen. Suddenly, a jolt of magic shakes the diner. Hook rushes in and asks, “Is everyone okay?” Regina is surprised to see “the pirate” because she thought they left him behind in the Underworld. Emma tells Regina to sit this one out and let them handle it. “You lose your love, we follow you to the Underworld, I lose mine and I get a time out,” Regina say sarcastically.

Henry explains to Violet that his grandfather (Gold) is trying to steal Storybrooke’s magic. Adding that magic has hurt many people, Henry uses the pen of the author to call forth the Olympian Crystal. They have to destroy magic. At the loft, Gold tells Emma and Regina that Henry has a piece of the Olympian Crystal and wants to destroy magic. Gold intends to stop his grandson.

Emma and Regina go to find Henry before Gold can and Snow, David and Zelena decide to open a portal so that some of the citizens of Storybrooke can return to their own lands before magic disappears. Emma and Regina track the signal of Henry’s cell phone to a bus headed for Boston, but Henry left the phone on the seat. Meanwhile, Henry and Violet are actually in New York. Henry knows that his father Neal (Michael Raymond-James) wanted to put an end to magic so maybe that can retrace his steps and get answers.

Meanwhile, it is decided that Robin Hood’s son will grow up in Sherwood Forest as his father would have wanted. Zelena promises she’ll let his baby sister visit. The boy gives Zelena one of Robin’s arrows. “I know Regina will cherish it,”Zelena tells the boy sweetly. Zelena, Snow, David and Hook get sucked through the portal. “I have a feeling we’re not in Storybrooke anymore,” Zelena says. They walked towards a garden and asks the gardener (Hank Harris) in what strange land did they arrive. However; before they get their answer, they are captured by another man known as The Orderly (Arnold Pinnock) and locked up.

After reading a letter Robin wrote her in which he calls her his heroine, Regina tells Emma how hard it is controlling becoming evil again when she’s in pain. So, Regina uses a blood spell to discover Henry’s true whereabouts.

The gardener explains that he used to be a doctor prior to his arrival in the land. The gardener/doctor offers his help if Snow, David, Hook and Zelena promise to take him to Storybrooke with him. He explains the warden wants to keep him there.

Violet and Henry arrive at Midtown Library in New York in the rare books section. Henry finds many Once Upon a Time books, all with different stories inside. He is frustrated, believing the books don’t hold the key to destroying magic, therefore, they’ve wasted their time. Violet spots a Holy Grail that is similar to the one in Camelot which started magic, the only difference is that one was silver. Maybe this one stops magic, Violet reasons. But before they can leave the library with the grail, Gold arrives. Henry orders Violet to get behind him and vows that he’s not giving up the crystal without a fight. Quickest fight ever as Gold touches Henry and Violet and places them into a sleep.

The gardener, who will now be referred to as the doctor, is caught by The Orderly and forces the doctor to swallow a potion. The doctor then becomes Mr. Hyde. “No one hurts the doctor, but me,” Hyde angrily sneers at The Orderly. So, it seems the doctor is actually Dr. Jekyll.

The blood spell leads Emma and Regina to Henry and Violet. At his hotel, Gold begins the spell to awaken Belle (Emilie de Ravin) but Dr. Hyde uses the sorcerer’s wind and gets the box containing Belle’s soul. “If the Dark One ever wants to see his wife again, he has to do what I say,” Mr. Hyde tells The Orderly.
