Q) Many fans find Evelyn to be quite the scene stealer.

A) I have as much fun playing her as I think people are finding her to watch.

Q) Do you find you get that often? Evelyn steals the show quite often, even though she is not a maid.

A) No, I think what is great about the show is that it is really kind of an old school ensemble. I think everyone has their favorites, who they are rooting for and who they feel guilty rooting for. I have gotten a lot of love for this character and I’m so grateful for it.

Q) Evelyn has had a great transition this season.

A) Definitely! I think time stopped for her when Barrett died, in a way. I think allowing herself to open up and feel those motherly emotions again with Deon kind of brought her back to a place of youthful, hopeful, joy before she kind of became broken and corrupted by years and years of sadness, anger and blame and all the tortures that the Powells put each other through.

Q) Talk about how has the dynamic between Adrian and Evelyn evolved over the seasons.

A) Over the last twenty years, like I said, I think time stopped for them in their hearts when Barrett died and that they have spent the last twenty years trying to figure out how to be human and they’ve gotten it all wrong. But they have persisted in being bound to one another. Tom and I enjoy all the places the writers haven taken us and it all feels very plausible. Also, it is very soapy with the things we are asked to do and allowed to do. He is, possibly, my favorite work relationship of my life. We love playing The Powells together very, very much.

Q) Evelyn seemed to give up her title of “Murder House” by passing that to The Stappords this season.

A) Evelyn should have capitalized on that more and thrown the “Murder House” title that way.

Q) What can you tease is in store for the season finale?

A) The finale of Season 3 has about four different cliffhangers and all are equally explosive and mind blowing! There are some big surprises in the finale. Some BIG surprises! I can’t wait.

Q) Talk about the fabulous guest stars you have had this season.

A) We had so many amazing guest star this year like Julie Claire, Justina Machado and John O’Hurley. The caliber of performers that are coming to play with us on the show is really great! It’s been a wonderful season. I also have to mention the young actor who played Deon, Isaac Brown, is so tremendously talented and so much fun. He is going to be a big star! Not only was Evelyn crushed when Deon had to leave I was also really sad because I love him so much and his whole family. He was really a joy to have around.

Q) When you first learned Evelyn was going to have a son, what was your first meeting like with him?

A) He walked in and was instantly amazing! He was charismatic, funny and charming beyond his years. It was really great. I think that was very well cast. They made a nice family! My hopes are still high that we haven’t seen the last of Deon.

Q) Should we expect to see Evelyn moving forward with her plans for divorce now that Deon is gone?

A) In the preview, Evelyn serves him papers and I think the audience would agree that if this is the straw that broke the camel’s back. If there is something that was actually to end that marriage, this could be it. I’m certainly not ready to answer the question if Evelyn could find another love in her life. I think even as Evelyn and Adrian (Tom Irwin) divorce they will still be obsessed with one another, which would be fun to play too. Honestly, I have no idea what is going to happen. You’re going to have to wait and see!

Q) Fans have really enjoyed the dynamic of having Carmen in the house this season. What has it been like working with her so closely this season?

A) Carmen with The Powells was just a genius idea! We had so much fun! Roselyn Sanchez is so funny! I think that character and storyline really got a chance to shine this year and that made me happy.

Q) You have worked with all of the maids, except Zoila, does this mean we’ll be seeing you work more together next season?

A) I love everyone in this cast! It truly is a joy to go to work every day. And it sounds corny, but I’m so lucky! The people that I have worked with the least are probably Zoila (Judy Reyes) and Genevieve (Susan Lucci). Maybe we should take a poll to figure out a way for Evelyn to get involved with that household. Although, I don’t think either one of those characters want anything to do with Evelyn Powell. She’s not made any friends at the Delatour mansion this season, but with “Devious Maids” things can change on a dime, for sure.

Q) It often seems like Evelyn could be considered friendly or friends with the maids. Do you think Evelyn could consider one of the maids as an actual friend one day?

A) This season opened with the revelation that Marisol (Ana Ortiz) and Evelyn had actually become real friends and I hope you’ll see more of that in the future. I think there was really a bond forged there and that they are really friends. Of course, there is the book that Marisol wrote that delighted Evelyn. Beverly Hills, I’ve heard, is an incestuous world so I think anything is possible.

Q) Were there any scenes in particular that you read about before production that you were excited about and then when watched air you were surprised, shocked or enjoyed the most seeing play out?

A) What does it say about me that we play such extreme things and nothing surprises me anymore? We’ve loved it all. Getting to go to the sex club with Adrian was a hoot and I think we were both nervous how that was going to turn out. I think it’s all been great. We’ve all been pleased with Season 3 and are glad the fans are loving it, too.

Q) We missed seeing Edy Ganem on our screen this season. Have you been missing her as well?

A) Edy Ganem is truthfully one of the kindest, most joyful, loving human beings I’ve ever been around. She is off shining in films and other things. She is going to have a huge career! That was sad to see her go, but she did her time at Chez Powell. Valentina and Remi are off having a life in New York together. I’m sure we will see more of them down the road.

Q) What would you like to share about the finale that you would like us to make sure we mention to fans?

A) It’s non stop! Just watch and watch live with us. Tweet live with us! Several of us are getting together at Dania Ramirez’s house and we’ll be doing a live tweet of Periscope together. It’s going to be a lot of fun and I’m not kidding when I said at least four cliffhangers in the finale! It’s mind-blowing.
