Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Very traditional. My songs are influenced by that style and sound.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) The true legends of the sound like Jones, Haggard, Whitley and the like.

Q) Where did the name Mending Fences come from for the album?

A) It is one of the cuts on the new album and the lyrics are so powerful to everyday life and love that it just seemed a perfect title

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Just living the country life enables me to find inspiration almost every day. No, usually the lyrics come first.
Q) What can fans expect from a live Richard Lynch performance?

A) Well, I am extremely proud of my band who have played together for many years. I think we have a very solid unique sound. We love our fans so there is always a lot of interaction with them.

Q) What songs do you enjoy playing live the most and why?

A) Any of the old classics, but (of course) we take great pride in our own music. So, it is thrilling to perform them and see the great response they receive.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I really enjoy playing fairs and festivals because of the country atmosphere, but playing good old honky tonks is always great fun.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from Mending Fences?

A) I think the lyrics to each song are very powerful. I really want people to realize there is still something very special about traditional country music, even though it is currently being ignored.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) George Strait or Allen Jackson. Basically any who are still working to keep real country alive.

Q) What album/artist are you currently listening to and why do you enjoy them?

A) Oh, I only listen to the classics like Jones, Haggard, Cash, Twitty and some of the terrific Texas artists out there.

Q) You created the veterans charity, Love Tattoo Foundation. What was your inspiration for this great cause and how can people get involved?

A) I have always had very deep respect for those who serve our country. When we were asked to make the Love Tattoo poem into a song it really struck a chord with me and I knew it had great potential to help our veterans

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Oh, social media is huge. It is an instant way to connect with our fans and to make new ones.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) As always, my very sincere appreciation for all their support and loyalty over all these years. It’s because of them we are able to continue our musical journey.
