Sarah Rhoades – America’s Next Top Model

By  |

Q) Who is your favorite designer?

A) I am a kind of girl that just buys what is on sale! I don’t really have a favorite designer. I like Ralph Lauren things a lot.

Q) Why did you decide to apply for the show?

A) I had tried some modeling things before and nothing came of it. This was kind of my last attempt at being a model.

Q) What was your audition like?

A) It was fun and crazy. I was nervous and Tyra was so stunning that you are kind of star struck. It was really fun and I had a good time with everything.

Q) What was it like meeting Tyra Banks?

A) Meeting Tyra was an honor and a pleasure. Still, I can’t believe that she knows my name! She’s fabulous and very nice. I think, even after the show, that I’m still nervous around her!

Q) Why do you think the judges chose Kim over you?

A) I’ve said before, it was an honor to go up against her and I wouldn’t have wanted to go up against anyone else. I am not sure why they kept Kim over me. I guess because she’s a lesbian and they need that on the show, but I am not bitter because of it.

Q) Have you cleared the air with Kim about your time together?

A) We’re still friends and we talk. It’s not a romantic thing anymore. We’ve grown apart since the show has been over. We’re friends and we’re fine. In that situation, it’s intense and crazy. She was a comfort for me to have someone there and I think I was the same to her. I don’t regret it at all.

Q) What did your family, friends and boyfriend think of your time on the show?

A) I didn’t have a boyfriend and I don’t know why they said that he was! He was my good friend, but he wasn’t my boyfriend. I don’t know what he thinks of it. He’s my friend so I don’t think that he cares! I haven’t talked to my parents since seeing the episode, but I think they’ll be supportive. My sister is really supportive of it and she is all good with everything.

Q) Did you ever spend time practicing walking in the house?

A) All the time, which they didn’t show. I practiced all the time. I did the best I could so it’s ok.

Q) Have you been through any training since the show?

A) We’re not allowed to, but now that my elimination episode has aired I’ll probably get into some training and try to fix that a bit. I had to wear size 9 and 10 sized shoes on the runway showsand I wear a 7. I had huge shoes on and I’m clumsy in the first place so that didn’t help. I’m going to work on it though!

Q) Did you leave a note for anyone when you left? If so, who for and what did it say?

A) I left a note for Kim and one for Coryn because Coryn and I got very close. We auditioned at semifinals together.

Q) What did you like about living in the house?

A) The house was fabulous and I loved that! It was the nicest place I’ve ever been in. It was really fun being in there with the girls just because I hang out with boys most of the time. It was fun hanging out with girls, being around them and getting in touch with that side of myself. That was really fun!

Q) Have you maintained your new look?

A) I had it trimmed up, but it’s still cute and short. I’m probably going to grow it out just because I feel more confident with it longer. I love the cut and I’m having fun with it!

Q) Who do you plan on keeping in touch with?

A) Kyle and I talk sometimes. I also talk with Coryn, Diane and Kim. The other girls I don’t have any of their numbers, but hopefully when I get them I’ll stay in touch with everybody. Probably not Lisa, but everyone else!

Q) What are you going to do now that you are no longer on the show?

A) I am still in Boonville and working. Now that I am kind of free to do more stuff since this is done, hopefully I’ll get more exposure here in New York so I can get an agency and go from there!

Q) Are you headed for the Tyra Banks show?

A) Yes, I’m doing it so tune in! I’ll probably do something crazy and trip!

Q) Who do you think will win?

A) I don’t know! It’s hard to tell so you’ll have to watch!

Q) What is your most memorable moment from being on the show?

A) My most memorable moment I guess would be any of my tripping. I remember that! Plus, the limo scene was funny, too!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) I am so thankful that you were there for me and are supporting me. It’s made the whole experience a pleasure and really fun. I promise to work on my walk for everybody and I’ll rock that runway one of these days!
