Q) Have projects like “Chasing Life” had an effect on the roles you take?

A) For sure! You learn a little bit of something from every character you play. Leo’s whole mentality in “Chasing Life” (as cliché as it sounds) is to live life to the fullest because you don’t know when you are going to die. So, if there was any take away from that role is that life has  more meaning to me than it did before.

Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) “Blood & Oil” has been taking up most of my time now. I’m working on that now and we’ll see what happens when it finishes.

Q) You are a part of social media. Do you enjoy getting instant fan feedback about the show?

A) We’ve been trending on Twitter every week and we live tweet. We get a lot of support from fans online. The people who have reached out to us on social media I think have all said they love the show. So, we’re going to keep making the show the best we can and hopefully people continue to watch.

Q) What can you share is in store for the next few episodes?

A) Well, I think you have seen Wick make a lot of bad choices to begin with on the show. It seems like he is trying to get away from those bad choices and get a clean slate. He is going to start working for his father (Don Johnson) in a good way and repairing that relationship. Things don’t always work out as they seem. I think he’s going to team up with some unlikely people on the show to try and get what he wants and try and put his past behind him.

Q) Wick has a lot of luck with ladies. What can you tell about his romantic dalliances?

A) We’ve got one of the best casts on television right now. Everyone is so talented. Not only that, but they are so down to earth and genuine. They are really good people and that helps when you are doing things as sensitive as sex scenes you have to shoot. You really hope you are going to be working with someone who is respectful and everyone I have worked with so far has been. This cast makes such a great environment to work in. I’m very thankful for that.

Q) What have you added to your role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) That’s a tough question. I had a view of who he was at the beginning and I have been playing him as I imagined him ever since. The writing changes, but then you get insight into who he is every episode. As for what I brought to the table, it was this idea since the pilot and I’ve been playing off that ever since.

Q) How has your role as Wick switched up or evolved from the pilot?

A) Not on my end! The writing sometimes changes. Every episode you find out something new about your character and you do your best to try and make it work for him as a solid through-line. You want to make sure that everything you have done and will do is all going to make sense. Sometimes you don’t have control over what they are going to write so you do the best you can week to week with each episode.

Q) The show centers around a family in the oil industry and what it can do to a family. How is it different from predecessors like “Dallas?”

A) I think you can have multiple stories come out of the same base idea. The oil industry is huge and I think there are a lot of stories to tell in it. I just read somewhere that there is a movie coming out called Boomtown that centers around the exact same storyline in North Dakota. There are a lot of stories you can tell. Just because they are about rich people in the oil industry doesn’t mean they are going to be the exact same stories.

Q) Has being on location instantly bonded you as a cast?

A) Being on location does something. Everyone is away from their normal life and all the barriers of getting to know someone are broken down because you are in an unfamiliar environment. Everyone is forced to be friends! It was good for us and we’re all close knit. We’re all buddies now and I think it did a good job for us to be on location.

Q) What has been the most challenging scene for you to film?

A) I think in episode two a lot of the emotional “did I kill my father scenes” were pretty tough because you are kind of dealing with some pretty dark emotions. Having to think about stuff like that was pretty tough because I don’t want to think about whether I killed my father in real life. That wasn’t fun to do.

Q) You have created some original content and also have a band. Is there any more original content coming up?

A) I have a couple things in the works right now that I hope to get developed. Like I said, “Blood & Oil” is taking up a lot of time so I haven’t had too much time to continue to develop these projects. I’d like to see them go to fruition though soon!

Q) “Blood & Oil” is paired with “Quantico.” The show seems to be a great lead in.

A) I don’t really know. I think Sunday we are up against a lot of great shows and programs. I know “Quantico” is doing really well and time will tell with what happens.

Q) “Greek” was such a cornerstone show for so many fans. How has it been for you getting to see the cast as a part of so many new, incredible projects?

A) It’s great! I stay in touch with almost all of the cast and everyone is doing so well right now. “Greek” was a really well cast series and they had a lot of really great talent on the show. I’m very grateful to have been a part of it and it’s really exciting to see everyone from the show go off and have great success after it.

Q) Is there anything else about “Blood & Oil” that you want to share with fans?

A) I would just say keep watching Sunday nights and hopefully you’ll find out  more about Wick Briggs in the coming weeks.
