Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say my sound is over all really pop but I try to bring out a little edge with most of my music.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my musical influences would be Michael Jackson, Beyoncé and Rihanna.

Q) Talk about the story behind your song “Screw U.”

A) “Screw U” was created when I realized that everyone could relate to it because everyone has moments in their life where they feel like saying “screw you.”

Q) What is it about the song that fans are connecting to?

A) “Screw U” can relate to everyone because I feel everyone has felt this way about someone or has felt this was about a specific situation that has happened in their life.

Q) How does the video for “Screw U” play into the message of the song?

A) The video shows that us three girls were so over this guy playing games on all of us. So, we all took the “screw you” message upon ourselves and showed him that he can’t get away with what he was doing to us anymore.

Q) What is your songwriting process like? Do you need music before you can write lyrics?

A) The writing process is different every time. But specifically for “Screw U,” we had written all the music and then wrote the lyrics to it.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I, for sure, give my opinions, etc. But I work with an amazing producer who really helps bring out the best in me in all my sessions!

Q) What can fans expect from a live Shayla Souliere performance?

A) They can expect a very fun time! This is a time where everyone can be themselves!

Q) Will there be an EP or album coming out soon?

A) I do have plans for an EP. I do not have a date selected yet, though. So, please stay tuned!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with either Rihanna or Justin Bieber.

Q) What can fans do to help promote your music?

A) Honestly, everything helps! Even just sharing my music on Facebook or with your friends, it all helps!

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is the quickest way to get your message out to everyone. Everyone is on it so why not use it! It is such a powerful tool!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much! none of this would be possible without you guys!
