Q) How close of friends were you with everyone in the cast before you began filming “Southern Charm?”

A) Not very. I knew Landon for years. But you get to know people very quickly, I found. And I enjoy all of their company for different reasons.

Q) What made you decide to be a part of the show?

A) Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Simple as that.

Q) Were there any parts of your life that you deemed off limits to the show?

A) Not really. I don’t really have anything to hide. Certain friends and family chooses not to be on camera. And that’s fine with me.

Q) This season marks the appearance of New Craig. What changes have you seen in him since last season?

A) Well, he has a girlfriend, and I think she is a calming influence. But a tiger never changes his stripes. So, I’m going to wait and see what transpires. All is well so far.

Q) We have seen you working hard to include Kathryn in more events this season. Why was that so important to you?

A) I’m a nice person, basically. She’s done no harm to me. I don’t carry around other people’s burdens and hang ups. And taking sides is for children. So it easy for me to want to hang out with anyone.

Q) Right now we’re seeing you team with Cameran to assist in her real estate business. Are you still helping her out?

A) Currently, no. I’m actually in the British Virgin Islands for a week. But you’ll have to stay tuned on that front. I promise some good laughs, as always when I’m around Cameran.

Q) We were all sad to hear about what happened to your bar. Where do things stand with the rebuild?

A) It was dismaying for sure. Luckily everyone was ok. The good news is we’ve opened up a new one called The Commodore. And The Palace Hotel should be back on line early this summer.

Q) The trailer for the season teases an upcoming episode where Thomas “roasts” his guests. Were you blindsided by his comments?

A) It got a little out of hand. There’s no doubt about that. Sometimes with him things can snowball. I know he wishes it hadn’t happened. Water under the bridge.

Q) The fandom seems very divided about your personal life. How does it make you feel to have so many people invested in you and your future?

A) It’s fine with me. Although, it does make you wonder why are people so desirous of other people “settling down.” I can’t help but think it’s a misery loves company type situation because I can’t stop having fun and not having to answer to a soul. It’s glorious. I’m a happy man. One day, if I’m ready and meet the right person, I’ll wave the white flag. But not now.

Q) You are very active on social media. Do you enjoy interacting with your fans and the instant fan feedback you receive during episodes?

A) It’s weird for me to type “fans.” Um, I do like social media. To me. it’s an outlet for comedy. Pure and simple. I follow lots of funny people and from time to time they’ll put a smile on my face; and that’s an important thing in the world. To others who use is for anything negative, I feel sorry for them. They don’t have friends or a fulfilling life I guess. I couldn’t in a thousand years imagine going on social media and attacking someone because of a TV show; what compels them is beyond me. The funny thing is though, I don’t get it half as bad as some others on the show so I can’t really complain. It’s a crazy world out there.

Q) What do you think it is about Southern Charm that has made it such a fan favorite show?

A) I still can’t believe people like it so much. I don’t really watch reality TV so I can’t say what differentiates our show. But I find myself enjoying watching it sometimes. I’m just as curious as the fans are about what Thomas or Whitney might say or do. The cast is such a mixed bag, maybe that’s what people enjoy about the show.

Southern Charm airs Monday at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo
