Q) What is the premise for “Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street?”

A) It’s about three best friends who grow up on Normal Street, where nothing is quite normal. They start to uncover secrets hidden among the street and start to uncover friends along the way. I portray Gortimer on the show. He is the kid who is always put in situations and he makes the best of them. It’s fun leading the show in that way.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) When I first got the script, it was like any other audition. I read the script and got really excited and ran downstairs to my dad’s office. I said, “Dad! Dad! Have you read this?” He said, “No, is it good?” I said, “It’s me!” So, I immediately fell in love with the script and was determined to book it. I got a call back and then here I am!

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t necessarily scripted for you?

A) I think that happens with any character. You always make it your own. Through the pilot, I was kind of given a script and direction. Throughout the series, I have had time to develop my character. He’s become a very cool character and I’ve enjoyed portraying him.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming?

A) I have to say that I can’t pick a moment. It’s all super memorable. It’s one of the most memorable moments of my life. If there was a scene I enjoyed shooting, it was one of the last and it was one of the last episodes in the rain. It was fun because everything was building up to that moment. It was cool to see that everything from shooting had built up to that scene. It was dramatic and one of my favorites.

Q) What have you learned the most or taken away from working on the show?

A) I have learned a lot from the show. I have learned from every department. I learned about lighting, the camera, direction, the writing and even acting from some of the well seasoned guest actors that we have had on set. It’s just been amazing! I can’t really pick one thing, but I’ve learned a lot because you do learn from everything on set.

Q) Who are some of the guest stars we will get to see this season?

A) One of the first you meet is Stanley Zielinsky who is played by David Bloom. He is hilarious and really adds a lot to the show. Then you meet Chandler Kinney who plays Catherine Dillman. She’s a rival in the beginning, but soon becomes a friend. Then, there are a couple of parents who have been added to the show like Gortimer’s father who has brought a lot of drama to the show. As well as Mel’s parents and Ranger’s parents who have brought more comedy to the show.

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you will receive?

A) I’m always looking forward to fan feedback. It’s really fun to get feedback and to grow as an actor and as a person from all the different notes I get from people. It does my heart good to see that people enjoy my work and send me messages. That’s always a good thing. If they do, I’ll be ready to respond!

Q) Is there anything else you would like to share with fans?

A) It premieres November 21st on Amazon Prime Instant Video!
