Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) “Crisis” was shot in Chicago, so working on other projects has been hard. But two projects I worked on before heading to Chicago came out at the end of last year. “Runaways” is a web series on the YouTube channel Awesomeness TV. I play a completely shy, quiet, wallflower…with a possible dark side. I was also in an AFI short film entitled Young Americans. We shot Young Americans right after I finished the “Crisis” pilot. It is a great story crafted by some young filmmakers that you will probably be hearing about soon. It was shot on 35mm film and is beautiful.

Q) Please tell us the premise for “Crisis” and about Beth Ann Gibson.

A) “Crisis” starts with an entire class getting kidnapped…but it’s not a normal class. Our class is full of children of Washington, D.C.’s elite, CEOS, international diplomats and even the President’s son. Then, these powerful parents are manipulated to do horrible things to get their children back. To top it all off, the mastermind behind the kidnapping is always at least three steps ahead of the FBI. Beth Ann Gibson is the daughter of Francis Gibson, played by Dermot Mulroney, who is an ex CIA analyst. When her father loses his job, he falls apart and turns his back on his family. Because of this, she hates her father and wants nothing to do with him. She is also one of two scholarship kids in the school and doesn’t get along with any of the rich elite children. Ian Martinez, played by Max Schneider, is the other scholarship kid and her only friend.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) I’m an actress…major broadcast network drama, amazing script, great director….don’t tell anyone, but I would work for free.

Q) What do you find challenging about your role?

A) The most challenging part of my role was making sure Beth Ann Gibson was three dimensional. I didn’t want to make her just mean and angsty. She has so much more going on and the harsh mask she wears is just due to the difficulty in her life. Beth Ann is very kind and will do anything for those she loves. Making sure the layers were there was a very enjoyable challenge.

Q) Was there anything about the character that wasn’t originally scripted for you that you added?

A) Not that I can think of! Rand Ravich had put a lot of thought into Beth Ann and we worked together to make her “mine.”

Q) The cast is so diverse. Was there instant chemistry when you began working together or did it take some time to develop?

A) I think there was definitely instant chemistry. Not only is the cast very talented, but absolutely everyone is so sweet and down to earth.

Q) What have been some or your most memorable moments from filming “Crisis?”

A) After reading this question I immediately thought of my last day on set. It was very intense, but I can’t elaborate without giving away a little too many details. My favorite times onset were our “mansion days.” Sometimes we would shoot on a stage, but when we shot large group scenes we went up to a BEAUTIFUL mansion an hour outside of Chicago. All the teenagers were there, including the extras. It was fun to have such big scenes with so many people. We would be there all day cuddling and trying to stay warm in-between scenes. Those long twelve hour days are the most memorable for sure.

Q) You are a part of the social networking site Twitter. What kind of fan reaction have you been receiving?

A) Everything has been positive. Not ONE negative, mean response or comment. I know how things are, you can’t be everything to everyone. But the acceptance and excitement of people to me and the show has been so positive. It really makes you stop and feel lucky and grateful for all the great people that are your friends out there.

Q) What do you think it is about the show that will capture viewers?

A) You will not be able to figure it out. You can come into it anywhere in the story and be drawn into the people and the characters, but no matter how close you are to it…you really never know what is going to happen next. Dermot, Gillian [Anderson], Rachael [Taylor], Lance [Gross]….these incredible actors  just make you stop and watch.

Q) Where can people go online to learn more about you?

A) I have a small website and there is IMDB, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, but its amazing how things just start happening. If you Google me, all kinds of stuff starts coming up…I mean http://www.wikifeet.com, oh my!
