Tamara Taylor – Bones

Q) What are the current projects that you are working on?

A) Currently, I am staring on the show “Bones.”

Q) Please tell about your character Cam (Camille Saroyan) on “Bones.”

A) Cam is Bones’ boss and Booth’s former flame. She’s kind of no bull. She’s good at what she does, but seems to have a fun loving sense of humor about the whole thing. So, she’s not completely the heavy.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) I think the show is completely amazing! When they wrote this new character in, I got the call and that was sort of it.

Q) What is it about the role that challenges you?

A) I think it would probably be finding that delicate balance of being authoritative without being unlikable and inaccessible. I think all of us have multifaceted characters and I don’t think Cam is only one thing. So, the challenge for me in playing this character is just to make sure I maintain her humanity and her softness, as well as her authority and her professionalism.

Q) How is it getting to work with Emily and David?

A) They are amazing! Not only them, but so are Eric, Michaela and TJ, too. They are all really amazing actors and really amazing people. I just feel really lucky!

Q) What is your most memorable moment from filming?

A) It would have to be one of the many sing-a-longs that we’ve had. All of us were singing and dancing on set, which is not unusual if you ask Emily, David or anyone else.

Q) How do you feel being a part of such a well received show?

A) I feel really fortunate. Creatively, it’s completely and totally satisfying. I am just lucky.

Q) Why do you think the show continues to draw in so many viewers?

A) I think the reason I would watch it if I weren’t on it and the reason I did watch it was because it has the unique combination of the crime solving and the forensic stuff, which a lot of the “CSI” and procedural shows have. It also has a quirky sense of humor that I like. Of course, David and Emily’s chemistry is beautiful.

Q) You also play Walt’s mom on the show “Lost.” Is there any chance of seeing you again on the show?

A) I would love that! I don’t know, but we should pitch it to JJ Abrams.

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) I just recently moved so my spare time has been taken up with painting and unpacking. Generally, if I am not doing that, I am hiking, reading or hanging with my animals or my fiancé. I just love good times with friend sand loved ones.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) Thank you so much!
