Q) How much time has passed from the Season 1 finale to where Season 2 picks up?

A) I believe it is only a couple of days after the last episode in season one.

Q) Any teases for the upcoming season that you can share?

A) Just that more mermaids are coming!!

Q) Will we learn more about Deputy Staub’s backstory this season?

A) I can’t get into any specifics, but I like to think that Marissa grew up in Bristol Cove with a lot of these people. One of the interesting things for me was that it’s a fine line between being friends with them and doing her job. There were many things that made her curious about the Sheriff’s actions and some of the unusual new people that came to town.

Q) How do you think Deputy Staub will react if and when she discovers the truth about mermaids?

A) I think she will either be totally freaked out or maybe she’s hiding a secret too????

Q) Who are some guest stars you can tease we’ll be seeing this season?

A) We get to meet Maddie’s mom, Susan Bishop, played by the very talented Garcelle Beauvais and there is a mysterious new stranger that comes to town, played by the lovely Natalee Linez.

Q) Was there someone you were looking forward to working with on Season 2 that you didn’t get much screen time with last season?

A) I love working with every single person on the show. We are so fortunate to have an amazing cast and crew that are just the best people. I’d like to see what would happen if Ryn (Eline Powell) and I hung out more…

Q) What was your favorite scene or episode to film this season that you can share?

A) Unfortunately, my lips are sealed on that one. You will have to watch and tell me what yours is!

Q) What do you think about the fan reaction to the first season of “Siren?”

A) It was really incredible. We are so grateful for all our fans. I wasn’t really aware of how massive the mermaid world is and once we started airing, it really opened my eyes to it all. We are very thankful that they have been patiently waiting for the second season and now it’s here!

Q) What are the challenges of filming a special effects heavy show like “Siren” compared to other projects you’ve been involved in?

A) The special effects look so unbelievable! The team is extremely talented. I was blown away by how they turned out in the first season. I think some of the challenges when special effects are involved are that it just takes more time, there are more setups, more rehearsal. The way they shoot the underwater footage is pretty incredible – there is a whole underwater film crew and then of course, the actors are just amazing. The mermaids and mermen have to undergo special water training – learning how to hold and use their breath and also swim.

Q) What are the other projects you are currently working on?

A) At the moment, I am auditioning a lot for various projects including some really cool pilots. Fingers crossed something happens there! You can see me in the upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: A Clue To Kill, which stars Candace Cameron Bure, as well as an independent feature film called Torn.
