Last week, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) got a small reward of fame by appearing at a Comic convention with Leonard (Johnny Galecki) as her handler, with nerds alike wondering how the nerd got the hot chick. Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) took their relationship to the ‘brunch’ level, Stuart (Kevin Sussman) and Sheldon finally bonding. And Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) having a minivan adventure with some comical results. But this week truly tests our favorite characters.

Amy and Sheldon have taken their “Fun With Flags” show to a whole new level: with a house band composed of Howard & Raj, a new location and a new discussion about flags of two countries coming together as one. In the other apartment, Bernadette, Penny and Leonard watch the online series. Penny is bored out of her mind, but Bernadette drops some huge news on them: Amy’s apartment has been ready for a few weeks now, but she hasn’t told Sheldon that.

After another successful “Fun With Flags” episode, Amy suggests dinner and Sheldon immediately wants to go have Thai food near Amy’s apartment and check on the progress of the work. Amy does everything possible to deflect from actually visiting her apartment, a tactic that even unnerves Sheldon a bit. When he is able to sit down at the University to lunch with Leonard, Howard and Raj, he voices this concern as he is not sure what Amy is hiding.

Leonard doesn’t want to deceive Sheldon and tells him about Amy’s apartment being fixed and how Amy must really enjoy their cohabitation experiment if she isn’t ready to stop living with him. Sheldon is both flattered and hurt by this news, to which Leonard tells him that he should confront her and that he doesn’t believe in deception as he and Penny are doing well. Howard can’t hold in the secret any longer and blabs how Penny has been slowly moving Leonard’s collectibles into storage.

As Penny and Amy are on their way up to the apartment with dinner, Penny convinces Amy to admit that she is deceiving Sheldon. Meanwhile, Leonard and Sheldon decide, after noticing all of Leonard’s missing collectibles from their shelves, that both men should pretend they know nothing to see how long this could go on for. When the girls arrive with food, the guys take to speaking in Klingon to mask their observations. Amy notices and takes to speaking in Ubbi Dubbi with Penny, as they notice their own observations about Sheldon and Leonard’s behavior.

But the truth comes out once Bernadette, Howard and Raj enter the apartment for dinner. Amy ends up apologizing to Sheldon for deceiving him, which he accepts and then starts to consider the actual prospect of living together. In order to speed up the process, the rest of the gang starts discussing plans for the apartment. Penny tells Leonard that he can move his collectibles into Sheldon’s old room creates a slightly disgruntled Sheldon, as he may want to still visit his room. Everyone reminds him that if he moved in with Amy and stopped paying rent, then this wouldn’t be his problem.

That night, as Leonard grants Penny permission to decorate the room how she wants, Sheldon has a dream that his room was turned into a sex dungeon. He watches a dominatrix Penny whipping Leonard before waking himself and Amy up in a panic. He and Amy talk about the possibility of where they would live, whether it be Penny’s apartment, Amy’s apartment or someplace entirely new.

The next day, after the guys had a chance to bond in the comic book store, Sheldon makes his way to the fourth floor and stands between Penny’s apartment and his own. He is unsure which apartment to consider home now. Amy comes up the stairs and questions Sheldon, to which he is contemplating Buridan’s Donkey – a theory that Amy is well aware of.  Buridan’s Donkey theory is based on a study that a donkey placed between two equal distances of hay will be paralyzed by the decision and starve. To make sure Sheldon doesn’t starve, Amy hands him the eggplant she had in her groceries. Impressed by her knowledge, the two begin discussing different variations in the hallway, eventually leading to Amy walking back into Penny’s apartment with Sheldon following her.

Later that day, Penny surprises Leonard with her re-decorating of his room. True to her word, she has removed all of Leonard’s memorabilia and made it a space that she would feel comfortable in. Sadly, that space is very girly and in the next scene Leonard is seen walking back into Penny’s old apartment with a pink fuzzy pillow, asking Sheldon not to tell anyone he is hiding these items.

With Amy and Sheldon now contemplating their next move to cohabitate outside of the experiment, what will happen? Will Penny and Leonard decide to stay in the apartment? When do we meet baby Wolowitz? And based on next week’s preview, what good can come of Sheldon becoming a “Casanova?” Find out next time on The Big Bang Theory!
